Leave one minion on the board = die
I like this as a companion to Fossilized Kaleidosaur. Get whatever abilities its Battlecry generates, then give it more! Plus, Excavation!
It's like Blast Charge in-that you can't really get going without quickly finding a suitable target. If you're saving it for lethal shenanigans, the Excavate is A. a waste, and/or B. must come from somewhere else to reach the Dragon in a reasonable timeframe.
It's even worse for the Shaman, as neither this or Digging Straight Down are immediately playable like say, Cryopreservation or Reap What You Sow.
The only card from paladin/shaman related to excavate that's good, and that includes the payoff.
Because this card would find itself into any aggro-based deck never mind the excavate effect, which is a neat bonus. You'd probably try to build an excavate aggro/elemental shaman around this card because why not? Unlike Digging Straight Down, at very least this card synergizes with what an excavate shaman/paladin probably would want to do anyway.
In trying to give excavate to two more classes in a small set of cards, they've created a monster. I'm not sure which class will be more annoying now, but it's usually Paladin.
Giving Windfury to Paladin is a terrible idea. Wouldn't be surprised if this got nerfed to 5 after a week or two.
Windfury in paladin. Surely nothing will go wrong with this card... Sureeely.
It's worth noting that both Totem Shaman and Miner Paladin use this card, both are Tier 1 right now, and Totem Shaman doesn't even run any other Excavate cards.
