It is good at 3 mana and better later... This is a really great draw engine.
There are enough cheap Shadow spells like Monstrous Form that this could be worth the spot in the right deck. My guess is that it's most impactful in Fatigue OTK decks, grabbing those Encroaching Insanities and giving extra copies.
It's also pretty good with Table Flip and will probably save me some games against aggro.
My first impression was that it is bad because you can't play it on curve without losing the temporary copy, but at worst it's a vanilla card that tutors a shadow spell which is okay. Also thanks for pointing out the Table Flip synergy, that's a nice idea.
It is slightly weakened by the fact that you can't play it on curve unlike most other tutor effects, but it's still a draw that gives you an extra copy so it's most likely going to be pretty good.
Very good with Table Flip for Handlock.

Tutors AND gives extra copy of the spell to use right away? There's a lot of options for Shadow spells, usually reactive tools like Drain Soul, Defile, or Flip the Table, but there's also proactive tools like Monstrous Form.
Maybe. You'd probably want to play this on turn 6 or later to make sure you can afford to play the temporary copy before you lose it, and have a target for it.
