Another really solid turn 1 play. The body is minimal, of course, but Discovering an option for turn 2 is nice. This is a lot like Cactus Construct, though not quite as good.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
If you're a deck that needs to run a lot of Beasts, this could be a niche 1-Drop to try. I don't think we'll be seeing very much of this card, just like we didn't see very much of Jeweled Scarab.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Guaranteed turn 2 card... It feels great. Much better than the original Scarab back in LOE
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
What would a callback expansion be without a scarab? Yes, this guarantees a 2 drop on 2, however the card is a terrible 1 drop in itself and there are also a lot of 2 drops out there you don't want on 2.
Decent one drop, but there are better Options.
There's definitely some niche applications where this card can be good. I'm just not fully sure of what those niche applications are.
Maybe decks without much early game runs this as a curve filler?
Really good in Arena, helps you.tempo out and potential value as well
Resources with extra steps, i don't know if it will see play whatsoever
This would have been awesome 10 years ago, now it's just an okayish Arena card. Pack filler par excellence.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Seems better than the previous beetles,
BUT that's only because the mana cost be damned,
the discover ain't gonna be much of a game changer.
Creating an early curve might be enough for this to be good.
Curves out nicely, so should be a staple in the Arena. Sadly, not much use for a card like this in Constructed anymore.
Probably not that great. I'm not sure about the chances of you getting a good card to play from this, and the body is terrible.
Like Cactus Construct before it, this will see play in a wide assortment of decks, from aggressive wanting consistent curves to control that want some early game tempo to soften up the aggression without taking too much time away from their endgame.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
