I don't think this is accurate with tons of emotes with new portraits. I mean, my Valeera says "Just what are you up to ?" with an intimidating voice when i use greet so i'm using it when someone waits for fuse to play mostly because it can't be a greeting if i am first to emote. I'm %100 sure that greet emote neither makes me polite nor my opponent thinks i am polite.
Well, I don't think most of Death Knight players says "You have permission to speak" (greeting) in a polite way too for example and i like to return it as "Oh My.." (oops) with Rogue instead of "Just what are you up to!" (greeting). It feels more dynamic and i like using emotes to try to make a dynamic conversation.
There are a lot of good emotes on different portraits which can mean anything but the emote itself right now in hearthstone. This classic greet, well played, thanks etc. has gone for good long ago. These all are my opinions tho.
My favorite out of context emote is "You're shivering ! Are you afraid ?" (greet) as Frost Lich Jaina. You can use it for anything; you can use it as an intimidating greet, you can use it when your opponent waits, you can use it when they move their cursor on a lot of cards.
Since the release of the game, even since beta, people uses Greet when they found lethal (especially with Garrosh) so i don't agree with this thread.
An ironical "Well Played" is my standard emote whenever RNG fucks me over majorly. So much for sportsmanship lol
FLux, this is the kind of post that keeps me using this site for HS info! Sometimes we all need to be reminded this is a game and we are playing it to have fun!
I'm a Greeter at the start of the match, and a Oops when I make a dumb mistake or RNG makes something silly!
My favorite one is “Squelch”
The Committed - Running Mayor Noggenfogger in every one of your Wild decks just so you can still emote Sorry at your opponents.
I had fun putting this together. It's a bit goofy but sometimes you need a bit of that!
