Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green Are Coming to the Nintendo eShop on the 27th of February

Big news for Pokémon fans out there! Fire Red and Leaf Green, the Game Boy Advance remakes of the original two games, will release on the Nintendo eShop on February 27th. This will coincide with the annual Pokémon Day, marking a special occasion this time around: 30 years since the release of Pokémon Red and Blue Green in Japan.

Both Fire Red and Leaf Green will each be available for purchase for 20 USD (or regional equivalent) a piece. On the one hand, it's nice that you can get the games separately and not have to rely on being subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online. On the other hand, oof, that's a steep price. Also, be careful which version you get, as there are different versions of the game depending on the language you want to play in (French, Spanish, and English).

What do you think of this re-release? Are you gonna get them, or will you seek... alternative means to acquire them? Let us know in the comments below!

  • I will personally buy both! I normally do not do this but for 20 euros and being able to play alongside my wife makes it worth it :)

I played the original release on other means as I did not have my own GBA or NDs or 3Ds so I feel it is worth it (and I am also kinda giving back?)
