Ah, a 3-drop with 1 health. Just what warlock needed!
yeah I don't see this being very useful unless you really need to invoke galakrond.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Terrible minion with an irrelevant battlecry as it just dies to a simple ping or a weak 1/1 minion (like a lackey). It's not worth adding this card to a deck just for the sake of invoking Galakrond. It doesn't help that the Warlock version of Galakrond seems to be the worst one as of now. Just use the 5 mana 4/5 neutral taunt card.
"True mastery takes dedication."
I don't think some of you are clear on how these 'Invoke' cards work. This card will trigger the Galakrond hero power effect for the Warlock version, and thus summon 2 1/1 minions in addition to being its own body. Not all that bad and more akin to a Desert Hare, but better.
I mean, if you ignore the Invoke (since we don't know it's value in the real world), it takes 4 friendly units for this to even equal Magma Rager. Not great...
"if you ignore the Invoke (since we don't know it's value in the real world)"
No clue what you mean here, but we do know that if a Warlock invokes Galakrond, you summon two 1/1 minions. This is before playing the Galakrond hero card and has been officially announced.
I read the invoke is to summon 2 imps.. do the imps count toward the attack of this minion? cause if it does then it's a 3/1 +2 1/1s at minimum while powering up the invoke mechanic
Eggnapper with no deathrattle, and the imps are demons as well. Could see some play in zoo, but that is debatable especially looking at the ridiculous power level of the cards shown so far.
This ain't no place for a hero
what if we get a Quartermaster or Level Up! card but for imps.. then they are suddenly worth running... there have been a few imp cards this year so there might be a bigger pay off we didn't see yet.
Oh god. I still have flashbacks from Odd Paladin’s heyday, and that was with Defile still being around.
This ain't no place for a hero
Invoke causes you to activate Galakrond's hero power, regardless of where it is so long as you're playing Galakrond in your deck. Since it occurs before the attack part of the battlecry, this is at minimum a 3 mana 3/1 and two 1/1s. It also upgrades your Galakrond. Is that good? No.
Galakrond, the Wretched is not a good card. Its battlecry is subpar at best, given the demons in standard right now. The hero power isn't anything to write home about either. The only benefit of Galakrond, the Wretched is being able to get 2 free 1/1s off your Invoke cards. It's clear that Blizzard wants a more aggressive Warlock this expansion, and they're really pushing that with these ultra early-game oriented cards and absolutely awful late game. Basically, if you ever get to play Galakrond, the Wretched, you've probably lost.
???
Not really, if you go aggressive, and galakrond in a board refill and if you used 4 invoke cards you get a 5/2 weapon as well as some demons (probably 4) which is quite good for 7 mana..
The imps might get a good card to pair with as well a quartermaster style card, swarming the board have it's merits too..
So its basically pay 3 mana for 2 imps and this magma rager.
Not a fan but i guess it aint bad if u are on the coin and opponent doesn't have any minions and u aint playing vs a mage rogue and druid xd
Yes, refilling the board is good, and yes, the weapon is quite nice reach. However, that's 4 likely subpar minions for 7 mana, where your opponent is likely to have access to their removal spells like Flamestrike, Starfall, Warpath, etc. But the weapon is susceptible to removal (in the case that weapon removal is played), and cannot bypass taunts. Galakrond, the Nightmare, Rogue's Galakrond, at least has the ability to fish for a little more damage to end the game, similar to Myra's Unstable Element. However, this card does not do that. It does not have the ability to fish for more damage due to the resurrected minions likely being very weak statted ones, in addition to them being vulnerable to removal before they can attack (even more so due to the fact that the minions are likely to be very small). Most demons in standard cost 3 or less, with the only worthwhile ones being Illidan Stormrage, Siegebreaker, Dread Infernal, [Hearthstone Card (Rift Cleaver) Not Found] and Jumbo Imp, and to an extent Lord Jaraxxus, [Hearthstone Card (Fel Lord Bertrug) Not Found] and Portal Overfiend. After that, there's nothing left, and since you're in the late game with Zoolock, you've likely lost the game (unless of course you just needed Leeroy or Soulfire off the top for lethal). I really do want Warlock to be a good class despite all that torture I've been through against Warlock in the past, and I hope that this is the expansion to prove me wrong. Seeing the new 4 mana 5/4 draw 3 if you've Invoked card does raise my spirits, so maybe my entire comment chain is wrong.
???
This card is perfectly reasonable.
1 health is weak, but we need those invokers. So it will be played.
Never netdeck, craft Whizbang instead!
the worst Galakrond and a shitty 3 mana drop...whyyyyyyyyyyy all this hate with warlock?
The 1 HP is what makes this card garbage - if it were Paladin or another class where you could reasonably buff the HP it would be one thing in Zoolock, but Warlock has all of what one neutral minion (Beaming Sidekick) that can do that? Nope, not going to stick at all to get any value from it.
Trash! 3 drop with 1 health doesn't help at all.
Of all the galakrond warlock cards, this really seems the worse one. I could be wrong, but if there is one card that will be cut from the archetype, it will be this one. it's only saving grace is the fact that knife jugler is going to be a must with galakrond.
Warlock have the worst Galakrond cards as of now
-=alfi=-
ok, this card is absolutely horrible. As if we didn´t have one infamous 3 mana 1 health card, which is regarded as one of the worst cards in the game. Absolute trash.
The fact it has one health makes it hurt its chances of succeeding but can get bigger or annoying for some classes.
I'm really hoping for some 1-mana cards that are amazing for Zoo. Otherwise I don't think we'll the playstyle in the forecoming months. This card ain't strong by itself, but maybe in the greater scheme of things, it will be a staple for Galakrond decks, who knows.
So... 3 mana for a 2/1, another 2/1, and a 3+/1. I guess that's not terrible, but with cards like [Hearthstone Card (Sandstorm Elemental/card] all over the place, I don't have high hopes.
) Not Found]Well .. looks terrible, but summon two imps 1/1, so it's at least a 5/3 :l
I'm sorry for my bad english :)
Warlocks now can summon 7 imps in every rounds.
That's the plan;
Summon 7 imps, hit something. They die. Summon other imps that will die, Summon them again, Summon them again...
here that big Jumbo Imp is coming.
I will make a deck with all Giants and imps themed. Warlock needs its own Scuttlegeist for sure. Jumbo Imp is not enough and it doesn't even get cost reduction if it stays on deck.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
There will be a lot of board clears with the latest expansion, so I could see zoo warlock working only if it could constantly spam board after board of 1/1s...which I actually expect to happen
I think a lot of people don't understand how good this card could be. Now, its true that you have to want to play Galakrond in your deck to begin with, but this is basically a Warlock relevant Microtech Controller. 3/1, and 2 1/1s for 3 mana at the worst, sometimes its got a load of attack. Zoo decks are great at controlling early boards so being able to land a decent 4-5 attack hit with this is possible, plus you have other cards like Grim Rally and Plague of Flames that this is great with.
To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
3 mana for 3x 2/1's pretty ok and sometimes even better
it's probably not as bad as it looks if you build a deck around abusing the invoked Hero power.
Still poopy in a meta where Lackeys run amok
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
If this card had Rush (probably ups the mana cost by 1) it would have been amazing. But with 1 health it doesn't matter how much attack it has if it dies to nearly half the hero powers. Glass cannons usually don't work very well.
Sure, it supports an aggressive Zoo deck. Sure, that might be good enough for Warlock in the new meta. But I'm skeptical. If it does work out, then a fully Invoked Galakrond might be better than I thought, with 10 damage from hand to finish a weakened opponent over 2 turns.
Everyone is saying this card is super bad trash, but I disagree. It is also two 1/1 imps, which still doesn't look very good, but keep in mind that you will not just be dropping this on an empty board on turn 3 every game. As a stand-alone card this is horrible, you want to play this along side other cards that care about you having a lot of minions on the board. Imagine playing his with Knife Juggler on the field. Getting a free Arcane Missiles along side the 3 minion isn't a bad deal. Or imagine this with Jumbo Imp in hand, now you also get two procs towards an 8/8. Or imagine playing this along side the other new invoke card, getting a 5/1 plus four 2/1 imps isn't that bad, especially when it also means later you get to draw 3 cards later on.
Stop looking at this card as a 3 mana 3/1 plus two 1/1's. This is not a card you play by itself, this is a card you play with other cards to get a large early board, and then with other invoke cards you are able to summon more wide boards, and then buff them, and then play galakrond so that you can get 10 damage through the weapon, plus more wide boards.
Please give this card a chance, it will be better than you think.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Luckily, I do not play warlock. But my condolences to those who do.
Removing this is way to easy

Don’t forget the imps. At worst, this have total stats of 5/3 over three bodies. Still not strong because of the 1-health, but could be of use in zoo decks.
A better Desert Hare, at least when Evolve isn't available. KANSAS is right in-that you need to look at every piece of the puzzle, in-that this provides you the minion, the potential of the imps, and the potential to draw 3 cards later on. But it's still not a great card :/
Just as useless as Warlock Galakrond. 1-mana is only barely playable.
Literally the weakest card with invoke keyword revealed so far. It's just bad. Very bad :/
mage gets rid of it with a ping. other than that this might be a good card for zoo and other lackey decks. not too bad of an option for invoke maybe but 3 mana for a 1 health minions is quite expensive. think magma rager
Not as good as the other Invoke card for Warlock, but it helps with the board-flooding Demon strategy of Galakrond Warlock which I think is strong, so this will probably get played.
Artwork reminds me of a Witchwood render of Roll the Bones in a unsatisfying way.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Dragonblight Cultist will bу played in a Galakrond warlock since we don't have much choices. And it has fair stats for 3 mana (with invoke). Right now i don't think it could be played anywhere besides a Galakrond deck. Not an exciting card, but it's playable IMO
Pretty garbage for 1hp..literally ANYTHING can remove it..look at all those damage spells other classes have..
The worst outcome would be a 3 mana 3/1 with 2 1/1 imps. This card is much better than Microtech Controller (minus the mech synergy) which sees play in some token decks. But unlike token druid, I'm just not sure if warlock can pull off a good token deck without powerful mass board spells such as Savage Roar, Power of the Wild and Soul of the Forest. I feel like a token warlock deck will only find success with the invoke synergy cards and Galakrond, the Wretched.
More dragons? Yes please!
this is a joke
You’ll probably almost never have it get the threatening since it just dies to any ping or board clear. Basically just the invoke effect
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
This card's health is too low. If it gets buffed a lot will probably be removed immediately after being played.
At the bare minimum this is a better Microtech Controller that also gives Invoke.
This could be a very nasty card against decks unable to easily remove it. A board flood Zoo deck with Galakrond, the Wretched as a big finisher could certainly work.
One health minion for 3 mana. As long as mage exists this card is beyond useless.
A reasonable proactive invoke card is perfect for the style of deck Galaklock decks are aiming at. If you have nothing on the board is a 3/1 and 2 1/1 so isn't bad at all, it can even have more attack if you have a board, but the 1 health will still be this minion weakness.
I think is one of the best invoke card so far (behind the rogue ones).
One of the worst Galakrond related cards, pretty useless if you don't count the Invoke ability.
Did people forget this also summons 2 imps meaning its always a 3 1.and ı think thats enough to be played
i really think this is underrated. remember when y'all thought quest hunter would suck bc all the tokens were 1 health?
may be possible to build a zoo warlock that shifts to galakron for endgame.
i guess it's an ok invoke card for Galakr's zoo, but the 1 life point isn't enough to survive a single turn
At 1 HP, i just don't see this being terribly good. Too easy to ping off or hit with any rush, charge or reborn minion.
Good number of stats for a Galakrond Warlock, probably an auto-include.
3 mana summon 3/1 and 2 1/1 at wose
Horrible card....invoking is needed so may se play, remember galakrod warlock is some kind of Demon Mid-range archetype so we'll see how this works with imps and grim rally
Pretty oppressive card, may force 1 damage AOE to be run
If it gets the attack after the invoke it will be 3/1 which is not bad but if it's played on board that already has some stats it will be higher this is gonna go in zoo for sure
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
3 mana is way to expensive for this card. At 1 health, this card dies to every ping effect.
Not really a good comparison. Without a board, this is a 3/1 that summons 2 1/1s. Muchhhh better than a magma rager even in the worst case.
Seems bad. It has an Invoke effect but not much else going for it. It only gains Attack so it will always be very frail, picked off by hero powers or any minions your opponent has.
Jaina is best waifu. Always.
OK invoke card, 1 health is too painful to see play.
Doesn't seem really useful. Maybe if you play it in a board with a few minions and then use Grim Rally. Or you buff it while in hand. Or if you play a Zoo Galakrond it may be okay I guess?
Not that bad, I'd say. 3 mana 3/1 that summons two 2/1 really isn't as horrible as everyone says. Not great, but it's the minion threat that counts, you obviously wouldn't count on actually attacking with Dragonblight Cultist.
I know Galakrond needs invoking, but pathetic cards like this don't help at all. Super weak body withot rush at high mana cost, meh.
Fun and interactive game.
