tbh i was expecting legendary judging from the art.
Not saying this card is bad, it can be really helpful adding some strong 8 or less mana dragons to your hand. Its quite similar to Zola the Gorgon with dragon only requirement. I'm quite positive, this card will find its place in upcoming meta.
Good stats for it's cost, flexible, will be good in every Dragon deck - if any are viable - as dragons often have useful battlecries
Flexible and potentially has a lot of value. You can combo him with any good battlecrier dragon under 8 mana. Big like!
Never netdeck, craft Whizbang instead!
While this card seems like an auto include in dragon decks, it does compete against Firetree Witchdoctor which is another auto include card in dragon decks since the 2 mana slot is usually free.
The effect of Dragon Breeder is one that dragon decks love since you always want to be holding a dragon and it is always good even in the late game being able to copy a big dragon, yet you might end up not wanting to play this on curve without being able to use its strong battlecry unlike Firetree Witchdoctor which could hurt greedy players in the early game and for now we don't have any 1-2 mana dragons except for Faerie Dragon.
The card is still great, I just wonder if people will be running both Firetree Witchdoctor and Dragon Breeder or just one of the two for those upcoming dragon decks.
More dragons? Yes please!
A great card for any dragon deck.. particularly useful if a discover or deathrattle gives a dragon from another class or a neutral you want..
[Hearthstone Card (Chomatic egg) Not Found] spawning a dragon with all it's value in the battlecry won't hurt too much now.
ARES summons Erymanthian Huffer.
ARES declares attack with Huffer .
Adonis' hp reached 0. ARES wins!
More dragons can never be bad.
2 mana 2/3 is good, but will never be played on curve, there aren't good dragons with such a low cost, so... it's still value, but just for copying something big or very important
Not everyone is mother tongue! Roar.
Solid card, but unless a given deck includes particularly swingy Dragons, this card might not win its place in a list.
Let's not forget that Dragon decks tend to be quite tight.
A bit awkward to use with some dragons since a lot of the big ones cost 9 or 10. Other than that looks like it’ll be good enough
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
I wonder what'll be the best Dragon to copy.
There are already some good ones like Deathwing, Mad Aspect or Fate Weaver.

Zola for just dragons, a lot of dragons got battlecries and you might want more copies cause the 2/1 copy in your deck is just not enough, the 3rd or 4rh twighlight Drake in hand lock is probably better in some maychups or maybe you want more aoe
Not a bad card.
It has vanilla stats, so I wouldn't mind tempo'ing it our turn 2 to contest the board.
If drawn late, will provide more value.
A very strong effect card, can have a masive impact with a good dragon, and since there a lot of dragons,5/5
Solid card. 2 mana 2/3 body and a number of dragons have battlecries you want multiple of, or are good enough to copy and curve.
I like it!
This is very nice value for a 2-mana minion with premium stats.
If you're playing a dragon deck or just run powerful dragons, you're almost always getting something you want.
If you're under pressure, you can play it as a defensive minion. Very good.
Zola for dragons! May definitely see use in a dragon deck!
Good vanilla with strong effect
-=alfi=-
Is that the Innkeeper? xd
A sort of War Master Voone in getting more value from your Dragons. Might see play in value-based Dragon decks.
Very good card for dragon decks. Similar effect to Zola the gorgon but with the downside that you can only target dragons and the upside that you can have two copies of this card in your deck.
very interesting.
It's too early to properly evaluate this, but I could see it in Dragon-Quest Shaman (if that becomes a thing). Zola was an amazing value card and this is practically the same as long as you're playing a dedicated dragon deck.
Also a 2/3 vanilla with an upside is always a good choice for most decks
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Dragon Breeder is basically a vanilla stated minion with "draw a card," which is obviously great. You want to be holding dragons in hand for dragon synergies, and this helps land that, and you prefer to get more copies of the dragons you included in your deck (as opposed to random ones) for pretty obvious reasons.
Good card, somewhat situational but playable in most dragon decks. A combo card rather than a 2-drop though.
River Croc with a value option. Very playable
2 Zolas in every dragon deck. Pretty good, I would say.
“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” ― George Bernard Shaw
EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
autoinclude in every dragon deck, and it seems there will be a lot of dragons deck
This will see play in every Dragon deck. As everyone is pointing out, Zola saw tons of play; as does Seance for Priests. There are so many good dragons to copy, and the vast majority are 8-mana or less, so expect to see this being very versatile - copy a lower cots dragon for tempo? Sure. Copy a Big Boi for some late-game insanity? Yep!
so much value.. will dragon decks even need this? this seems really greedy.
Meh. I'm surprised people think this card is good.
Why is this an effect that you want?
Not even looking at combo possibilities, this card is great in any aggro, midrange or control deck that uses dragons.
Usually this kind of effect would come with a weak body, but 2 mana 2/3 simply allows to play it on curve if needed.
I like it
Fine stats. Can be played in the same turn as most dragons (with the notable exception of Classic aspects). There’s no way this isn’t going to be a two-of in all non-singleton dragon decks.
Solid body against aggro playable on turn 2 , ok top deck, good value late game; good card.
So I guess Dragons reproducing asexually is canon now. Not sure what to think about that TBH.
I think it'll be weak. You need to play a dragon to use it, so Zola is better...
Great card! Good stats for 2 mana and a strong effect, considering its a dragon based expansion. I can't imagine this NOT seeing play, its just that good. (Really helpfull for mages, so they can play the new malygos multiple times, or rogues so they can play even more waxadreds.)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
A 2 mana 2/3 with a somehow good effect, might see play in some high value decks but outside of these I don't think so.
It's a pretty neat card, kinda like Zola the Gorgon but dragons-only.
Being able to add dragons to your hand is a useful ability. Sometimes you will only end up having one dragon in hand, and you can't play it because then you can't trigger your other dragon cards.
Obviously you can't play Dragon Breeder anywhere except for in dragon decks (and possibly a combo deck?), which makes him less good, but he will no doubt be a key card. It is great value for it's cost.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Good stats, good value so .. very good!
This is a zola for dragons! Will be in my reno wild dragon decks for sure :D
I'm sorry for my bad english :)
Super good battlecry and not bad statline if in early game. Bonker combos in late game with <8 mana dragons, or >8 ones if they stick. Crazy expansion :)
2 mana 2/3 with relevant abilities always see play. Getting a re-buy on your classes legendary dragon or almost any of the currently revealed dragons from this set makes this pretty great, and having to play it for tempo doesn't feel so bad you'd never want to do it. Maybe not a 5 star card but a solid 4 star role player for almost every classes dragon deck.
To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
A cheaper, better stated Zola the gorgon only for dragons (and you can run 2)? i really like the design.
Versus aggro decks you just play the 2/3 on turn 2, you don't need the value.
I'm actually not sure if dragon decks will run this tho, i think we have to play it to see if the effect it's worth it
Combo this with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza for more infinite value XD
In Wild at least, I think I would rather play Netherspite Historian. You can play her on turn two, and don't need a Dragon already out. Dragon Breeder, to get the maximum value, would require you to sit on him until after a mega-Dragon has already hit the table, which is a pain.
Still, it's a good card. Just...not as good as the Historian, in my opinion.
This will fit Highlander decks nicely, to get a second copy of good Dragons. I think it will see play for sure
I feel like this card would be really cool in Battlegrounds, since it could help players get triples of Dragons really easily. Amalgam also makes this good in pretty much every Battlegrounds deck
Its like Netherspite Historians lost cousin. The new Deathwing and priest dragon come to mind with good dragons to target.
because it is a 2 mana 2/3 that adds a card to your hand.
Zola the Gorgon is a very good card, this is basically zola but for dragon decks only. My question is this; Why isn't this an effect you want?
Carrion, my wayward grub.
This is basically a highlander tech card and little else, absent some combo that emerges.
People always forget to consider that cards cost spots in your deck. That's the opportunity cost.
This is usually River Croc. Occasionally good River Croc is still basically always River Croc. You very rarely want River Croc.
Zola was strong, and I imagine this will be too. I'm thinking strong value alongside Dragonqueen Alexstraza if you hold off one of the 0-drops until the next turn.
2-mana 2/3 body is great, and the copy effect is fantastic. This will be an easy auto-include in any dragon deck.
As if Dragons weren't stand alone value ^^
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Warlock with potential 4 Twilight Drakes. Infuriating.
Agreed. The most understated boon of Dragon Breeder that I also immediately thought of was that it enables cards with the text: "If you're holding a Dragon," such as Smolderthorn Lancer and upcoming cards from Descent of Dragons. Additionally, it can be used to great effect by copying dragons in singleton decks, particularly Dragonqueen Alexstrasza. Dragon Breeder doesn't have to be an ultimate value generator though either and is pretty flexible in the sense that adding a copy of a dragon provides a good amount of value by itself.
Zola was good in Cavern-quest rogue and Combo Shudderwock. Unless you get a game-winning edge from specifically copying cards, or copying specific cards, the Zola Effect is just situational value.
Great card. Decent stats for a two drop, and with a potential high value pickup.
it's a nice deck fill card
3 stars
In dragon decks, you better look draw/generation somewhere else. For 2 mana, you'll want your cards to be as impactful as possible, and you'll want bigger body/more draw later. Could be good for duplicating win condition dragons, but I found none to be worth it for now.
Great value card, now I wish even more that the original Kazakus was a dragon as many people were speculating. Similar effect to Zola, of course not as good, but you can have two of them.
A very good one! A 2-3 body for 2 - is always ok. The battlecry makes this card a very nice and flexible for any dragon deck. Nothing special but it's good. It's definitely will be played a lot IMO.
2 mana Zola the Gorgon for dragons, seems pretty good.
Especially potent with the new priest card Fate Weaver, also the new explorer discover cards like Azure Explorer. This has got a huge amount of potential in the upcoming meta. Can see this as a staple in any dragon based highlander decks, and also in any mid to late game dragon decks. Very powerful card.
Sooooooo good. Auto include in every dragon deck. Enable combos... Can be played in turn 2 with no effect... 5 stars
Don't forget this is a dragon meta, so it will see play for sure!
Will be unmissable in super-greedy oriented dragon decks... This guy could provide a lot of value!
honestly, looking at all the dragon cards so far, this might be too greedy and slow to even run.
I think this is best with the Dragons that discover dragons.
Every card that have some combo potential are worth to keep an eye on it. For sure Zola the Gorgon can teach us something about that...and don't forghet that we can discount all dragon thanks to Frizz Kindleroost
A dragon-only Zola with good stats for its cost, will most likely see play in control dragon decks.
Better Youthful Brewmaster for dragons. That's all.
Good value generator but still might not see play if power level of the meta so high and it seems like it will be very very high.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
interesting for potential combos
Excellent stats with good effect late game as well. Will see play in value dragon decks
Step 1: Frizz Kindleroost
Step 2: Emeriss + Dragon Breeder
That's the value dream right there.
I misjudged this guy originally but now I see that he can double Battlecrys or add another ruin to your hand and since ruin is already crazy powerful another one will be bonkers
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
This card is very strong, but it might be too gready in an aggro meta. Playing this card in a Dragon-Battlecry Shaman would be nice, though.
Kinda awkward as it falls into the category of 2-drop that you don’t really want to play as a 2-drop and very low tempo if you try to get greedy with it by targeting an 8- or 9-cost dragon. Probably better in the midgame on a medium sized “workhorse” dragon.
Jaina is best waifu. Always.
Nothing crazy but it essentially acts as a better zola in dragon decks
Great card that will find it's home in all Dragon decks. Good stats and excellent battle cry
Strong effect and should fit well in all dragon decks.
Super sweet card in dragon decks. It's crazy, but this if better Zola the Gorgon for dragons. And you can have two of them at once! Another staple card for every dragonmaster.
Fun and interactive game.
Yes! Double up those legendaries!
