It's a bigger Ship's Cannon. Easier to put down on curve, but harder to combo.
I guess this isn't the expansion to play this in, gotta wait for more pirates in the future.
That being said, it triggers on summon and we do have Sharkfin Fan still in Standard....but I wouldn't want to build a deck around that.
EDIT: well scratch that, I just saw the other pirates. This might just work out well enough if you get on the board early
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Aaand it's a mech, alright, I'll start making a bad meme deck with pirates and mechs now.
Very snowbally combined with Sky raider and maybe parachute Brigand can make for a very swingy turn.
"Pirate Warrior is dead!"
Blizzard: Hold my beer!
Reminds me of Ship's Cannon
Pirate Warrior is actually getting some pretty nice cards this expansion and if it ever becomes a viable deck then this will be a staple card to include.
In the Year of the Dragon, with the Expac... Descent of Dragons.... that's what we're thinking of.... Mechs and Pirates. I assume this is some "tech cards" setting up Warrior for the next "year of the..." cycle.
For Pirate Warrior in Standard, yea probably a must-include.
Will probably not see play in Wild. 1 Mana more is a GIANT Difference for Pirate-Warrior.

Ship's Cannon that is more than likely live a turn. With all the new pirates this card is insane.
pirate warrior is back?? so many new standard archetypes being pushed, im excited
Looks like something that’ll probably want a lot more pirates printed to work out. As it is, pirates haven’t gotten much love in awhile, so I think it’ll take more than this and the weapon to work out
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Alright, so it's a good card with enoug support...but it looks like it's the only thing able to carry the archetype.
You play this on turn 3 and assume it lives and then spam Pirates on your next turn to cannon your opponent into submission.
But what happens when they killl it? Do you just surrender?
It should be noted that the mech tribe might be very relevant when you combine it with some of the better Magnetize options (replicating menace would be a good followup if playing pirates isn't an option)
Mech Pirate Warrior maybe? Nightmare Amalgam helps both and Eternium Rover is good in any deck. Add Sn1p Sn4p and Zilliax and that's a solid enough core.
Could even run Beryllium Nullifier for the memes.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
A second Ship's Cannon in Wild Pirate Warrior seems nuts. This isn't as aggressively statted, and that's probably good, because it lets you play this and have it survive more often to abuse its effect. In standard it might be good, but IDK if pirates will succeed or not. Either way, this effect is known to be strong, so this card is probably strong.
To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
I'll say it because that's what we do here, we echo: Ship's Cannon but better! SN1P-SN4P! Zilliax!
Very nice upgrade. I expect some Towelie combos from this some time in December/January on YouTube.
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
By itself it is not much harder to kill this on turn 3 than it was to kill Ship's Cannon on turn 2. But assuming you have a fast turn 1 and 2 (not unlikely assuming it is an aggressive deck) it could be tricky for the opponent to find the resources to kill it.
I have always enjoyed the technicalities of pirate rogue a lot more than the brutish smorc-ing of pirate warrior, but if anything will get me to at least give it a go again it is the sound of cannon-fire.
Dealing 2 damage whenever you summon a pirate is a pretty powerful effect, especially with the new patches. 5 health is significant enough that it should survive a turn if you drop it on turn 3-4, and the attack value being low isn't as important when most of the damage is coming from the effect anyway.
Will pirate warrior be good? I really don't know, we have some very powerful tools to help pirate warrior, namely Ancharrr, Skybarge, and Patches 2.0. But we still have yet to see if the meta will allow a deck like this to work. But I do know that if pirate warrior is good it will be because of this card, this is basically flamewalker but for pirates.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Ship's Cannon 2.0. Obvious staple for Pirate Warrior! Might be even better in Wild
pirates it giving me flashbacks. might be better than shipsconnon and it always go to a minion so easier to predict what it will do
Better ship's cannon! Great addition to wild as well!
Better ship's cannon! Great addition to wild as well!
In many cases, this seems like an upgraded Ship's Cannon - same effect, more health, and a mech tribal tag. Where this might prove to be much worse, though, is the cost. This effect exists to snowball you to a win, so getting this effect online one turn earlier makes a huge world of difference for Pirate Warrior. That's not to say it won't be a mainstay of Standard Pirate Warrior, but there are upsides and downsides as compared to Ship's Cannon.
Ship's cannon was powerful, this should be too, especially with Parachute Brigand. Also goes to show you can run [Hearthstone Card (ziliax) Not Found] in any deck.
Crazy card with mech tribe tag + magnetic minions around.
Even you don't put mechs in your deck, Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is still here, same with Omega Assembly.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
I’m loving all of this aggressive Warrior support. This is obviously the lynchpin for Pirate Warrior right now.
So much Pirate aggro along with Big Dragon potential. Warrior has it all.
5 health is waay too much for a snowball minion on turn 3 remember when EVIL Miscreant was 5 health it would not go way. Now imagine every warrior minion is Kobold Lackey .
This card has amazing synergy with Parachute Brigand its scary.
pirate war's exclusive ship's canon! let's hope the cancerous pirate war doesn't make a come back..
The extra life comparing to Ship's Cannon is really good, but the point of Ship's Cannon at 2 mana was that you could start dealing damage earlier.
Blizzard, please. What is this? Why?
The extra Health might make all the difference between Ship's Cannon and this card. Slower than the Cannon, though, which is a problem for a deck that wants to be aggressive. Maybe this will translate to some kind of mid-range situation.
I am not sure how good is Pirate Warrior going to be, given all those Dragon related OP cards.
But an alternate Ship Cannon is going to see at least some amount of play.
Ok I failed the test. What’s wrong? Both worded the same and same punctuation
it sounds like an autoincluded in the 2k20 pirate warrior
you can even buff it with Zilliax and SN1P-SN4P warrior got so many good pirate cards this expansion, there were already enough aggro/tempo cards in the class I can see this deck being easily tier 1.
This card looked so amazing and strong on stream. Wonder if it will be effective in constructed. Anyway, a must have in any pirate warrior deck.
Having Aggro decks around in the metagame is healthy for it, and Pirate Warrior seems like a good contestant (flashback). This card is a staple I think, and Pirates can generate much more value now. Looking forward to either win or lose on turn 3 xd
There is some synergy with Sharkfin Fan, if you Upgrade! turn 1, drop the Fan turn 2, and then the Skybarge turn 3.... Might make one Rastakhan card playable!
A 2/5 on turn 3 is not easy to deal with, especially in a deck that plays very aggressive from the first turn. When ship cannon was in standard there weren't many good pirates to make it work, but this expansion has many of them that are very good and cheap so this card will see play.
3 stars since this was so OP on the stream, but even they acknowledged how perfectly high-rolly that whole game was. I can see this being very strong, but probably not always AS strong as we all saw.
So now we now exactly Blizzard wants to resurrect pirate warriors! It's a great snowball card but i'm not sure if it's enough to make this deck playable. With Ancharrr pirate warrior can become a beast since we got some pirates this expansion. I suppose we'll see pirate warrior in april after the next rotation. And we might get some support for this archetype in the future, so let's see.
It's a bigger Ship's CannonShip's Cannon for 1 more mana and with mech tag. For wild Pirate Warior i think Ship's Cannon is better, but in standard can raise a warior deck with pirate that use Skybarge with this set or with next ones
Really spooky support for Pirate Warrior, may see a nerf
This is why they printed the legendary warrior weapon :) PIRATE WARRIOR IS BACK!! YARRR! And i see a potential pirate package in galakrond warrior.
Never netdeck, craft Whizbang instead!
One day we'll have a Sorcerer's Apprentice for Pirates... One day...
Why TF did they think that releasing a different body Ship's Cannon would be a good idea?
I always loved Ship's Cannon and now it's back! This is a must in all pirate warrior decks.
More dragons? Yes please!
Slapping zilliax on this is going to be a wild ride since the life steal will trigger pirate warrior is going to be fun and annoying I played it back in MSOG so It'll be neat to see some new support for it combos with the weapon too
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
Another old card on steroids. Maybe finds a spot if Pirate warrior returns.
wild card for sure. not gonna see play in standard. i'm betting on that.
Pirate Warrior on Wild will love this, since it's a more solid Ship's Cannon.
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the world, and loses his own soul?"
Solid card in wild, not so much in standard, but I hate pirate warrior so I hate this card /kidding /orNot
I'm sorry for my bad english :)
A more expensive version of Ship's Cannon. Pirate Warrior will definitely see play in standard. I winder if this card will also be played in wild Pirate Warrior decks.
This will be really good in wild, and a core of potential pirate build in standard.
Nice card! Compared to ship's cannon it's slightly worse, because it costs more
What if I were to tell you that its tribe tag is irrelevant and that it is simply a newer version of Ship's Cannon ?
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Not sure if there's enough pirates in standard to make the deck shine, but in wild it will be a force to be reckoned with.
Has obvious synergy with Pirates, a really annoying statline that makes it hard to kill. An excellent card for Pirate Warrior. Going to be an absolute terror in Wild when played alongside it’s little brother Ship’s Cannon.
Jaina is best waifu. Always.
Pirate warrior now has a chance to be a thing thanks to this card. If the damage it provides wans't enough, 5 health asures that it will live more than 1 turn, while clearing the board/hitting face.
It's back, pirate warrior came back to standart.
Not a bad card but I am still not sure if pirate warrior will actually be a competitive deck for this meta. We will find out soon.
This will be particularly annoying to remove with its statline. A staple for sure if pirate warrior is a ever a thing, which I hope not. God, I hate pirates with passion, almost as much as I hate murlocs. Good thing it doesn't take T5 two years to fix things anymore.
Elders Scrolls : Legends / Runeterra
Good stats and effects overall. Hope to see it being played, but I agree it may be frustrating to play against.
Great card for Pirate Warrior. And it's a Mech too! In wild this card is awesome. You play Ship's Cannon. It dies, you play this card. And keep pushing damage.
Seems scary, Pirate Warrior will definitely be a thing. Is it going to be the terror it once was?
Oh boy, pirates are real deal after all. Let's hope this time it won't be so oppresive.
Fun and interactive game.
Really good card! Nice stats for 3 mana, crazy effect that can be easily triggerd 2 times per turn plus it's a mech. 5 stars
worse than cannon, but since there are no analogues in standard, pirate decks will play it. good it can shoot face SMOrc
this is gonna be dirty if it sticks.
A very strong card that you can even put alone on the board without comboing.
With the new pirates coming this expansion Pirate Warrior could very well be coming back.
