My favorite series is borderlands, so I play a ton of borderlands 3. When I get bored of HS and BL3 I like to play fallout 4.
Your face is already dead
Borderlands is my favorite as well :D
That being said I think my favorite individual game is now Hollow Knight: I absolutely love it. The atmosphere, the challenge, the music; for a game made by at-most four people, everything about it is near-perfection.
My favorite game by far is Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Everything about this game is awesome: visuals, gameplay, story are the best I've ever seen in any game.
And the best thing about this game is that it has a huge ammount of content. The great Story alone took me almost 100h without doing any Sidequest or farming xp and the Plottwists are huge "wtf just happend, this is awesome" moments.
And I havn't even talked about the dlc that includes custom difficultys, chalanges and a Story dlc that is so big that they also sold them as a stand alone prequell game.
Soggy Cracker
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I am obliged to say Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim since that takes my top spot, but since that game needs no introduction, I'll give a shout-out to Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. That game was almost criminally under-advertised when first released on the original Xbox (there's an HD remake of it on Steam now I think).
While I still played on main consoles I loved the Halo and Gears of War series, but in the end I always considered Stranger's Wrath my favourite shooting game. Seriously, if anyone here likes shooting games but would be interested in much more interesting, funny and surreal mechanics and environments than the usual roster provide, then you should absolutely take a look at it.
It is impossible to do the game justice here, but as a taster, one of the 'weapons' is a chipmunk with megaphones that foul-mouths the enemies to lure them to a spot. It will also insult you while it sits on the crossbow. Oh yeah, you have a double-barreled animal firing crossbow! I have still never found a cooler weapon.
I was actually going to make this topic on the 23rd as my all time favorite video game has a release date anniversary on that day.
I'm currently on "hours played" 631 for Civilization 5, so...
But oh boy I am hyped for Knights of Honor 2 next year I can see that taking a lot of my time - I still play the original from time to time. I hope they will keep the absolute broken-ness of the game because it was always fun to try and start in way out east/south and still get Longbowmen as fast as possible so you could be an unstoppable killing machine. Less fun to savescum constantly in case you were cursed with a princess birth rather a prince.
I LOVE Hollow Knight, it’s my all time favorite game and I’m very exited for when Silksong releases.
I hope Vox Populi :D
My current favourite non-card game? Not sure if i would call it favourite, but i am playing Phoenix Point. Being a fan of XCom series, i was very excited for this game. I must say that im kinda disapointed with how it turned out, it is very far from the polished XCom we're used to and so far, there is basically no modding since the game seems like it was not built with that in mind (and boy could it use some fixing up), but i do love some mechanics the game introduced, namely the targeting system, that is super amazing. The story itself is kinda cool too, just the game as a whole feels a bit meh. It definitely has a potential tho, so i guess we'll see what the 3 planned DLCs bring.

Definitely The Binding of Isaac. I'm still on the Repentance hype train, year-long delays or not!
Heroes of the Storm is a close second.
EDIT: I just had a Lost run where I got Brimstone and Megablast. Then Krampus sniped me with his corner laser. The Binding of Isaac is no longer my favourite game.

I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.
Hmm. Turns out he's dead.
It's been a long time since I played other Games, but I played lot of Batman: Arkham City/Origins and Bayonetta 1/2. I spent so much time chasing High-Scores I probably still have the muscle-memory for critical free-flow hits and some Wicked Weaves Combos!
Also, TLoZ: Twillight Princess is my fav Zelda. Awesome Dungeons, Midna is the best and great Fights!

Personally, I really don't like twilight princess.
For one, the graphics are kinda bad. There isn't any texture so the whole game feels kinda weird.
I don't like the dungeons, they are way to linial. They all feel the same, find the new treasure, go off to the left and grab one key and also unlock the middle door. Go through the middle door and find the second key and also unlock the right door. Then go through the right door and find the third key and fight the boss. And all of the boss fights feel the same also. Memorize the attack pattern until you find an opening to hit the super obvious weak spot.
Midna is very annoying. I am sorry.
I will admit though that the fights are pretty interesting. My one plight though is that all of the enemies feel too easy, they all seem to just kinda let you walk in and kill them. The truth is, Legends of Zelda isn't a combat game, it is a puzzle game. And, as I mentioned above, the boss fights are all very systematic and repetitive.
All in all I think that the whole game is just too systematic. Every dungeon is planned out the same way, all of the fights go the same way. The whole game just feels too linear. I think a lot of Legends of Zelda games are like this, they have stayed from the path of the origional.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
I also absolutely love borderlands, but 3 was a huge disappointment for me :( I still have about 400 hours in bl2

Yeah, the Graphics aren't this games strongest point, especially of the Remake. I personally though love the look of the Wii-Version. In combination with the music, the washed-out, somewhat blurry style made it feel like some kind of weird, non-realistic dream.
The fights against normal enemies are pretty simple, that's true. What I meant were the fights against the Lizalfos, Darknuts and Minibosses. If you try to beat them with all the secret arts you've learned and without taking damage, they become really fun and challenging. Zelda might not be about combat, but that doesn't mean you can't have great combat!
The one point I completely disagree on though is that the Dungeons and their Bosses are all the same. The Dungeons might go with the old Zelda-Dungeon-Formula (get Key, get another Key, get Item, get Bosskey, hit boss 3 times), but they still have some good puzzles and more than enough character to be memorable. One has you save a group of Monkeys, which later on will help you in the Bossfight; In another one you meet a Yeti and his Wife, who you have to collect Soup-Ingredients for and later becomes corrupted through the twilight; etc... And, Imo, the Bossfights in TP are some of the best and most epic/cineastic in the whole series! The music, the different stages, they way you finish them -- It all feels so satisfying! Like you're an Adventurer and they are huge Monsters that have to be slayed!
... but forget about about the Water-Dungeon. That one's total BS. And the one that gives you a LITERAL BEYBLADE.

Pcs currently out of order but me, my little brother and one other friend are playing a mobile game called Identity V.
It's basically Dead by Daylight for mobile with slight differences.. It's fun in group.
ARES summons Erymanthian Huffer.
ARES declares attack with Huffer .
Adonis' hp reached 0. ARES wins!
Yeah I'm on that BL3 hypetrain as well, like others in this thread.
Other than that I've been playing the Danganronpa series as I loved the zero escape saga on DS.
And a bit of Dragon quest 7 on 3DS.
More into emulation so at the mo playing
arc rise phantasia 4k internal resolution Wii.
Nier 1080p 60fps ps3
and fatal frame 1080p ps2.
How would you compare BL3 to BL2? Which do you think is better?

The Witcher 3 is the best game I've ever played. I'm also considering to get an N64 from ebay and once more save Hyrule in Zelda: Occarina of Time. But then, Witcher is nothing but Zelda for (more or less) grownups, so no surprise here.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

There aren't that many big differences in my opinion.
If you haven't tried either yet I recommend buying BL2 first, as that one's super cheap with all the sales going on right now anyway.
If you have tried 2, then 3 is just more of that with a new story, characters, loot and everything. If you enjoyed 2 then you'll enjoy 3.
My favourite games are the "soulsborne" games made by Fromsoftware, which include Dark Souls 1-3, Bloodborne, Demon Souls (which I haven't played) and I like to include Sekiro Shadows Die Twice as well because I also loved that one. Out of those my favourite has been Bloodborne from the moment I finished it. It has great exploration and level design, I love the creepy atmosphere, I love the soundtrack, and most of all the gameplay is incredibly fun and rewarding once you get good at it. It also offers a lot of replay value because there are so many weapons with very different movesets, making the gameplay feel a lot different each time you use a different build.
Besides that there are a lot of other games I like, but as you might be able to tell from my profile picture I'm also a huge Undertale fan :p. It has been a while since I played it, but when I did I loved almost everything about it. The music, the exploration, the clever humour, the depth of its characters, even the gameplay which is pretty simplistic is made fun by the choices it offers you (you can choose to kill monsters or you can spare them by fleeing, making them scared, making them like you, or other ways unique to some monsters). The amount of depth put into this seemingly simplistic game is mind-blowing, especially when you consider that the creator Toby Fox made most of the game by himself. And yes I know the Undertale community has not made a very good impression on others, but trust me when I say that that is because of a very (and I mean VERY) vocal minority, because there are a lot of undertale fans who are very nice people and with whom its great to share the passion and love for this game.
Now I could go on forever about other games that I love, so I will just list some honorable mentions here:
- Terraria (for a way too small price it offers incredibly great exploration, fun gameplay, and after years and years it has constantly been getting free updates, with a final big update coming next year)
- Subnautica (again, great exploration, and absolutely gorgeous environments and an atmosphere that completely sucks you into it)
- Mario Galaxy 1&2 (both have incredibly fun gameplay and a gorgeous soundtrack, but 1 offers a better story while 2 excels in its level design, I would say I like 2 the most)
Stellaris at the first place for me and never left there because it is just a strategy game that you can play again and again.
then there is Divinity Original Sin 2
I also like Sims series since Sims 1 and still playing Sims 4 time to time.
Playing Oxygen not Included and Don't Starve too from time to time. They are still fun.
nowadays, started Witcher 3 again and playing 250+ modded skyrim together. Sometimes I can't find time to play one or the other. :)

Today, my all-time favorite video game turns 20 years old.
(I literally took this picture this morning when I woke up. Yes I do actually have two copies of it)
Gran Turismo has been my favorite racing game franchise, and one of my all time favorite franchises of anything ever since I got GT1. I first got GT2 as a Christmas present back in 2008, and it's nothing short of amazing.
Aww thats a nice story! ☺️
I have a similar one with Starcraft. It was one of my first games i got as a kid and for several years, i thought that Zerg campaign had only two maps.
Cause the second map you couldn win with 'kill everything' strategy, which was my only strategy since i didnt know a word in English at the time.
Imagine my surprise when i came back to it after few years being able to read the objective and get to map 3 😂 it felt so amazing yet stupid i couldnt figure it out all those years 🤣
I dont play SC anymore but still love to watch tournaments. Really one of great games.

League of Legends no doubt. I really love playing multiplayer games, because I can talk with other people and communicate with them. LoL is just my top dog without any question - I've spent so much time on it, and despite any break I may take (like the one I'm currently taking to play some more HS), I'm sure I'll come back soon.
2nd place would be Overwatch and 3rd place would be Witcher 3 - one of few singleplayer games I loved. I especially found myself constant;y hunting for Gwent cards and ignoring the main plot altogether. xd
"Truth is in the shadows, waiting to be revealed by the light. But light only disperses the shadow." - Me
"If other people shared traits of those considered naive, the world would've become a better place." - Also me
Not gonna go into my gaming history and all time favorites but just the recent ones. Besides HS just recently finished Jedi Fallen Order. Amazing blend pf different games with a plot line better than the recent movies. On that regard Jedi Outcast and KOTOR easily beat the recent movies too in terms of story depth.
On a side note Destiny 2 since Steam release has been a total blast and a great surprise since the early days
As of late I'm a huge fan of Celeste - it has amazing gameplay, music and story. I relate closely to the story, and it has gotten me through a hard time. There's also how it's extremely difficult, but encourages you to beat it, it's never something you can't do.
All in all, I highly recommend anyone who hasn't played this game yet to give it a try, it's more than worth it!
