What happens with my Expedition Trial(s) if I don't finish them before the next Vault opening (week)?

I already spent a token and won 3 games. Will my expedition be canceled at 3 wins (or however) if I don't finish it (win 7 / lose 2 in the row) until the Vault opening? Will I be able to continue playing my current Expedition next week? 

Probably it won't finish but you lose one of your expedition run. I mean; There is a weekly cap in expeditions; You can play only 3 expeditions for full rewards. If you left it unfinished until Tuesday, you will probably have 2 other expedition runs for full rewards instead of 3.

So try to complete it before tuesdays to be able to get full rewards from expeditions.

As far as I know (from last week) you will continue your expedition and it won't count in 3 expeditions per week count.
I plan on doing same this week (need to finish trial run to max out chest and then will just wait with next trial for tomorrow's chest).

I haven't tested it myself, but this would've been my assumption, too - that the expedition counts for the week it started in, not the one it ended in.
