FYI, PvP wins are 200 XP/each for your first 10 wins + 400/200/100 bonus for your 1st/2nd/3rd wins, then they start to roll off. They did that so you don't feel obligated to play more than 1 hour per day and burn out quickly.
maybe nerf dailies a little and ramp up the rewards for regular wins.
but meh.
at least i know not to waste my time beyond the dailies and 3 wins now :x

If you feel the game is a grind and don't enjoy playing.. Maybe you should not be playing.
I mean, I think they should just keep 200 xp wins/100 xp losses static until the xp reward cutoff... Idk why they diminish xp gain the more games you play, backwards thinking.
I get that it can be a bit frustrating for those who would like to invest large amounts of time into the game. Trust me, I was in the same boat for the first weekend after the open beta released. But in the end, as OldManSanns mentioned, I think it's for the best that Riot gives out the bulk of the rewards for the first couple of games played each day. This way, players can keep up with their collections while not having to dedicate all their free time to Runeterra.
I'm easily maxing the vault for the second week in a row.
If anything? Runeterra's model is too generous.

I'm curious: how many hours would you say this took you? I would admit I'm finding it hard to miss the 13k XP limit for Level 10, but max vault is almost double this (25k). I'm finding myself in the 17-21 range for the second week in a row spending ~10-15 hours in-game
I'm pretty sure they said they want to incentivize daily play, rather than grinding. Which completely fits the current system.
And indeed as some other user pointed out, from my limited playtime and guides I have checked, the model seems extremely f2p-friendly.
Expeditions as "Open Play" continues to give experience when you finish your 3 runs every week after you capped your experiences from wins/lose from pvp and AI.
It is an additional way to gain experience. You guys should complete your 3 expeditions as soon as possible in tuesday to thursday and keep playing open plays if you like to grind. It is the best outcome.

but it is 200 exp for each pvp win until win 10 and 150 for 11-15 ,i dont see your point even expeditions is 100XP per win so why are you acting like this is too little , runeterra gives so much for free that grinding isnt necessary.

I didn't downvote you as I didn't think you did anything wrong besides perhaps poorly word your thread title, but yes: I personally am very happy that I only need to play ~6 games every day to get a lion's share of XP. There are days when I do want to play more but there are also days when I don't have time to play at all, so I've found this model very accommodating to my lifestyle.
For what its worth, I do sympathize with your feelings--you clearly have a dedication for this game if you are routinely getting past the 20-wins-per-day rolloff and understandably feel you aren't being rewarded proportionately to your level of involvement--I just don't share them. :-)

No, the downvoters are downvoting because...
A: Your argument makes no sense to begin with, daily quests by design are going to be more impactful than regular wins.
B: You don't even represent your point correctly, as it's 200 XP for seven more wins past the dailies.
C: This is somehow not enough? 200 XP is a very reasonable reward when a daily quest is 1000 or 1500 if you roll a good one, (which is not at all worthless, by the way, 7 x 200 is 1400 XP per day, that's quite an extra chunk there) and it's a BAD thing that we aren't being glued to the computer grinding out more wins? What in the WORLD are you talking about?
You had a bad take and people are calling you on it. Just take the L on this and move on.
If there's a problem with Runeterra's economy, this ain't it, chief.

It's not worthless I don't think I need to be rewarded for every time I play, the progression is fine but I am having fun when I play the game so it's not my main focus.
and why worthless when you get a lot of exp per win? AND also per lose.. you must not have played Hearthstone.. in Hearthstone you get only the quests and then every 3 wins(and ONLY if you win) you get 1/5 of the minimum quest reward in this game you get 1/5 of the minimum quest reward EVERY WIN as well as 4/10, 1/5 and 1/10 for the first 3 wins daily..
Let's assume You need 2 dailies worth of exp on average to get a reward.. you get at minimum for your first 3 wins 1000+ 600(200 per win) + 400 + 200+ 100 =2300 exp per day for 3 wins.
On average -2000 exp~pack in hs = 100 gold. The ratio is 20 exp= 1 gold.
In hearthstone you get 70 gold for 3 wins(if you didn't reroll for the worse tier or a chance of better reward for some reason) in this game you get 115 gold for your first 3 wins (+ quest) each day.
Here you get much more for the same effort of grinding and a reward in runettera is much more effective (also contributed to a weekly chest+ token + shards) than a potential 40 dust lowest roll pack possible in HS.
Another factor is the first 10 wins games give 200 exp 1/10 of reward so it's similar to 10 gold.. and you get it every win as opposed to every 3 wins.
Also imagine if you got 5 gold per lose in hearthstone as well..
Last calculation: Let's say you play 15 games daily, win 10 lose 5 and complete your quest while at it, in Runettera you get 210 gold(+ progression toward the weekly chest) in hearthstone you get 110 gold.
So your complaining doesn't makes sense.
Slammin' the downvote (which I actually rarely use, props to the thread for reminding me it existed).
This thread feels like the epitome of entitlement to me, really. Frontloading XP rewards into quests and FWOD bonuses is optimal both for players - who don't feel forced to grind and aren't punished for having other commitments - and also optimal for the developers because it encourages people to play daily but for a short enough time to not get burned out.
If the only reason you're playing the game is for rewards, you kinda need to reevaluate how you approach... well, games. To suggest that playing games beyond your three FWOD bonuses is pointless is to suggest you don't actually enjoy playing the game. If you do enjoy it, well then, there's the reason to keep playing. And if you don't, why are you even here? Stop playing it already.
Alternate take - just ignore the actual numbers that come up on the screen and imagine all the XP is spread over your first twenty games instead. It works out the same.
If you want to grind - do your quests, get your daily XP rewards, stop playing after.
If you actually like the game - just play and don't mind the rewards.
It's really great that LoR frontloads the majority of the grind into your first few games. Very F2P-friendly.

You do realize that change was COMPLETELY unrelated to the point you attempted (and failed miserably) at making?
Expeditions were hit. They changed how normal wins work to compensate for that. It's probably a healthier approach since we're going to get to a point eventually where not everyone can just do 3 expeditions a week and get by like that. And that's... literally it. It has nothing to do with this topic. At all.
But by all means, keep living in your delusions where your comments actually make sense, I would hate to take that away from you.
EDIT: Good lord, you even saw fit to edit the patch notes that do nothing to address the point you failed to make in the first post.
Were you on Kitchen Nightmares? That's the only other place I've ever seen this level of delusion.
Ignoring the debate about the OP's sanity, I think the patch changes to XP were pretty much spot-on. For the past 2 weeks, I've slowly been feeling pressured into grinding out as many expeditions as possible due to the high bonus XP rewards. This has actually diminished my enthusiasm to try playing constructed. Now I might just invest a bit more time into building and playing my own decks.

I am so sick of Expeditions at this point, I may not even use my token this week.
But they did make those balance changes ... maybe I'll be ready for it by the weekend.
