The game felt like such a slug before this patch.. now wow.. you can finish 2 games in the time it took you to finish one before.. the speed up is incredible noticeable.. sure it feels less epic.. and it's a bit too quick at times (Wonder how it feels for a new player(?)) but damn the game now runs quick..
if someone quit just cause the game felt slow for them I really recommend them to try the game again.

The animations and interactions are still the same, interest to know why do you feel its any less epic now?
Some animations (like when Thresh lvl up for example) even got improved!
Hearthstone: Me vs Firebat -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09NCE81owjo
Because many units had better highlight and animation when buffing other units or having more time to hear their voice lines, but it's worth it for sure, I mean.. playing more games in less time.. is really good.. specially when climbing ladder.
Yeah, the game feels too fast at times. I think it is great, but maybe they could slow it down like 20-30%.

It feels rushed kind of.. At least it's faster than what it was before but too fast is also not that good, hope they will balance it a bit on the other way as well.
Not a good balance at all right now to me. Feels very rushed.
Sure that might be fine for people who just play to rush ladder, but a lot less fun to play like this for us who just want to enjoy the game
I think most of the animations are good at this speed, but I do agree that when units are played they do come down a little too quickly
Seconded. I don't see anything too fast with animations but the unit drop speed definitely feels a tad much.
The draw animation was the one that required the most speed up since it was too slow, expecially when you draw multiple cards. But everything else seems a bit too fast now and I would probably slow it down by a 20%.
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the world, and loses his own soul?"
Personally, I think the attack token flip between rounds still takes unnecessarily long. Most other things are extremely fast, though. Which is perfectly fine with me (I care very little about visuals in video games), but I can see why it might be a disappointment to other types of players.
Well there are some epic cards that got their animations speed up drastically, like Commander Ledros which the entire animation was like 7 seconds, and now is boom, 2 secs.
I appreciate that. I like my games fast, even if I play with or against control decks.
Give me the reason why the mind's a terrible thing to waste?
Understanding is cruel the monkey said as it launched to space.

I'm sure they'll find their way to some happy medium with respect to the animations. Some of the things I'm very happy have sped up are the delays between taking an action and seeing it play out (I'm thinking mostly about the unit drop speed and the time to start combat animations)
Another overall improvement, albeit a bit jarring, is the animation for drawing several cards. Card draw is pretty clumsy thanks to a couple of problems Legends of Runeterra has with layout around card draw:
That first issue always means the animation needs more time than in similar games (Hearthstone, MTG Arena) where the deck is on the same side as the drawn card, giving it less screen space to cover.
The second issue gets better as you learn the cards, but it always means you run the risk of mistaking a card in your hand for some other card (especially since art style and color are similar within any given region). This, in turn, means the card has to do its little pause in the middle of the screen to let you know what you've drawn. Most other digital CCGs have information like card names at the top of the card, making them easier to identify and allowing the animators to avoid these kinds of big animations that reinforce what you've drawn. This made drawing several cards pretty tedious from a pacing standpoint.
Now when you play something like Progress Day!, all of the cards seem to draw nearly at once. This is great for pacing, but because of these layout problems it can be harder for players to internalize what exactly they just drew.
Honestly I was fine with the speed as it was and find the current speed far too fast. But eh, I don't really care either way, so if makes people happier I won't argue.

I'm not as good as turn 4 Barnes; But I'm at least a Twilight Drake
