  • Seeems ver strong... especially if they print a new strong secret this set

  • Fairly sure that secret mage doesn't need more 2 drops. This is probably the least aggressive of the surprisingly large set of secret related 2 mana minions.

  • Cool tempo tool for curving out slowly but surely

  • Nice tempo play and curves nice in to 3mana secret play. Too bad splitting image is rotating out. But maybe they will print something even nicer.

  • Curves into a Secret, but I don't think a Tempo Deck is the best Place for this. You usually want your Secret Synergies to affect the Board somehow.

I'd say it's better in a mid or late Game focused Deck. T8, drop this and 2 Secrets and get some new Spells seems fine.

  • Not really exciting. Subject 9 is rotating so whatever reason we had to play Secret Mage is now gone.

Discovering Spells is good, sure, but Mage has been doing that shit since forever and it's never been worth it to combo two specific cards to get that.

Even with the one spell that draws a secret and makes it 0 (its name eludes me) this is average at best.

For fuck's sake, can Mage for once get a card that doesn't have the word "random" attached to it. Is it too much to ask to actually be able have a gameplan or should I just play wheel of fortune instead?

  • Eh, unless this manages to stay alive for a few turns alongside some Sorcerer Apprentices or you happen to have two Cabal Lackeys in your hand then I just don't see you getting enough value from the card for it to be worth it. Mage secrets are just too expensive.

  • Can't wait to play this at 8 mana or more with an empty hand and discover more secrets to chain. But also, solid 2-drop.

  • This card seems decent, but will there be room for it :/

  • This is a solid 2-drop, but i doubt that it can make secret Mage competitive in standard. This migtht be a good addition to the wild version though.

  • Maybe a control secret mage archetype? Probably not. We need to get at least 1 more secret this expansion for this to be decent.

  • Too weak/slow for Wild, could Secret mage have a place in Standard with the Uldum synergy cards?

  • Pretty nice for getting more spells in hand but on the contrary finding garbage spells will make you second this..but you can potentially get 2 secrets out of this during turn 8.

  • Strong but I don't think it will see play.

Not powerful enough to make Secret Mage work in Standard.

Wild Secret Mage is too concerned with burning down your face as fast as possible and doesn't have need for generating more spells.

  • Will see play if (when?) we get more secret mana cheating in standard. Not strong enough for secret mage in wild.

  • Secret mage new friend? Don't think this will see a lot of play in the wild version of the deck though.

  • Too many 2-drops already for Secret Mage in Wild; I don't see this making the cut.

  • Don't think it's enough for secret mage in standard.. and it's not good enough for wild (secret mage don't need it).

  • Blizzard really like Secret Mage in wild XD

In standard it's a 2 mana drop with a strong effect, but i don't see the right deck for this card

  • This could be in spell heavy mage, like cyclone mage, or maybe the secret package in standard can take off too. I hope not.

  • He's got vanilla stats for cost, and a great effect.

Secret Mage might make a comeback with this guy

  • I don't t share the excitement - you either play it turn 5 onward, where a semi-random spell most likely won't change anything, or you play it turn 2 only to be (most likely) removed before you play your secret.

  • I don't think secret archetype supported like this.

I mean, Secret archetype supported for a defensive or midrange tool for Mage. We already saw aggressive Secret Mages so much time it should be enough for designer team too. We, at least I, want to see something different for Secret archetype. Something that protects you like Ice Block etc. and cards that synergizes well with it.

  • Secret Mage doesn’t really want a card like this, doubt it’ll see much play

  • Very strong, specially if you can chain discover secrets and get full value out of it!

  • Cute value generator for Secret Mage. But when considering how Secret Mage wants more tempo than value, That makes this card less appealing. Though it can definetly see play.

I feel secret decks are already packed full in wild, and mage secret decks are not going to make a break through, but who knows, maybe they will. I really hope not, because I hate secret mage deck
