If this can be played on empty board it's amazing, otherwise it's quite bad..
Holy Smite though.
I like this a lot. It's great on an empty board as earlygame removal (which Warlock kind of lacks outside of the somewhat unreliable Nether Breath and the subpar Shadowbolt)
You can even use it with some egg synergies (I mean...just the one egg, but still).
Good enough now and might improve with more eggs (to the point where control Egglock might be a thing)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Good on empty board, dust otherwise. Don't see this getting any play. (Unless it's to activate an egg now that i think about it)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Its not going to replace Soulfire. And that alone dooms this card.
Aside from that, this hits your minions too so you're not actually building tempo. If you've got a minion, might as well trade into the thing you want dead. 3 damage is not really that big.
And it cant hit face. Nuff said.
Zoo always play a few tokens generator - in the shape of deathrattle eggs, for example - I could see something like that being used.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
It has a totally different purpose than soulfire, this is a removal card for control warlock, soulfire is a tempo tool for zoo/discard decks.
The only other card this can possibly replace is Shadow Bolt in control/handlock. If for some reason you're not playing Nether Breath, then this can be of some use. Unfortunately, even then it comes with a nasty condition that you *might just lose a minion to remove another minion whether you trade or not.
As a whole, I wouldnt mind paying one extra mana if it doesnt hit your own minions. But it does. So I remain skeptical of its chances.
As long as you don't need to have a friendly minion (which I assume it's the case) this card is really really good in control warlock..
why not run both? 1 mana deal 3 to a minion is really good most early minions have 3 hp..
I would agree that 3 damage for 1 mana is pretty tempting. It does help with the early game. Its not a matter of whether you play both Nether Breath and this card in, its just a clunky card in my opinion.
Can control/handlock be expected not to run early minions? Now that Mountain Giants out of the picture, I cant imagine why they wouldn't want to.
In your turn you can control which minions you have, you often have an empty board as control warlock if you are behind, you play this and THEN you play a minion.
If you trade your board, play this and then develop a minion this is great.
1 mana is much more flexible than 2 mana.
Good early game removal, espacially if the Warlock doesn't control any minions. Rather bad in the late game though, but Warlock has Plague of Flames to control the board in later turns.
Good removal, but we really have to wait and see if it requires you to have a minion as well. But with the Galakrond's imps - that should not be even that much of a downside - 66% chance to hit a 1/1 imp. Which can still make it worth it.

I can't see this being good. Sure if you don't have any minions on board it's Holy Smite, which is super efficient, but even the slow Warlock decks have minions. This card needs at least two good eggs with 3 or less Health or else it's dead in the water.
Do Warlocks even want 1 Mana deal 3 to a minion these days? I don't think it's really in their strategy.

could be very situation as it is a 1 cost removal if you have no board..but if you're already leading the board this is useless.
Really good card. For control deck this is a 1 mana removal without any drawback
Dealling damage to your own face is fine, but you really don't want to be hurting your own minions. Warlock doesn't really need to deal 3 damage on turn 1, they just Dark Skies the entire board away on turn 3.
Great for control to remove those pesky 1-mana 1/3's. I question why this costs 1 mana when Holy Smite now does the exact same thing only better.
It's garbage. Holy Smite is better, hell Arcane Shot is better. I'm not damaging my board to inflict three damage to an enemy minion; if I'm gonna remove stuff, I'm going to blow up everything like a Warlock should lol.
if you could direct which friendly minion the damage applied to it'd be much stronger, as it stands you have the chance of killing a minion to kill an enemy minion
In very early turns of the game, warlocks would currently use mortal coils and kobold librarians to contest the board. Is this better? I'm leaning on no, just because it is so poor against decks that do not demand very early interaction.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Good on an empty board, otherwise crap.Soulfire is better in every way.
Maybe in a handlock that has no early minions or Egg-lock but there are some better activators for Eggs if you ask me.
Well, that doesn't mean i won't try even the shittiest card if i have them in my collection tho.

Good for controlling board, especially for control decks that focus on removal. Will see a little play, i think.
Playable, but only in control.
I already hate playing against this card. Seems pretty annoying on its own on an empty warlock board. But knowing All the gambits and expoits Gul'dan can go for from time to time...
I think its a good card and will have potential.
This card cannot really be played in a zoo/midrange type deck because it is just too taxing on your board. But I do think this card has potential in either a control deck that doesn't play a lot of minions in the early game, or in an egg deck that wants its minions to die.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Not that great I’d say, would probably want to run other cards over this one
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Very strong if used with no minions in play, and still good if it hits a friendly one regardless.
A worse Holy Smite that becomes holy smite on empty board. I feel like warlock has some better control tools than this.
Great removal card, and Warlock can always use that "downside" to his advantage.
