It's on the watchlist.. but the whole stealing cards is a big bilgewater mechanic..

    so they could :

    1. tell you which cards were stolen (so it's worse than card draw since it's easy to play around)

    OR

    2. give you a copy of the cards (While still consider it a draw for TF and slot bot purposes)

Also I think it's best if it steals cards from the bottom of the deck to keep Freljord deck buff viable.

Nerf mana cost.. sure.. but then you weaken TF considerably.. :(

I really don't think those cards will stay the same.

I play Bilgewater a lot! But Black Marcet Merchant and this one feel a bit strong tbh.

The thing is you need to plunder to activate him.. this is not so easy, unless you run Make it Rain, Warning Shot or Yordle Grifter.

Also Monkey Idol might be an easy plunder, but again you have to either be winning or use resources to get the plunder bonus.

2 mana get 1 card is not that good, 2 mana 2/2 is terrible, so without putting other resources or being able to put in chip damage on the attack those cards are really terrible.

I don't think those cards are broken, but I think they could get some changes to feel better when played against, I stated 3 changes (the bottom of the deck is a must) that could make the mechanic change to feel less bad when played against.

They recently added a clarification it doesn't steal champions, this is not a mechanic change but it does make it better to know your champions won't be stolen.

Also sometimes it helps you to reach your win condition sooner (as in deep decks or combo decks like Ezreal/Karma).

They really need to steal from the bottom. I like to play Freljord and it is really annoying when I had a great opening hand triple Omin Hawk into a yeti in the top three cards only for the enemy to steal all my buffed cards and the yeti before I could get them. >_<

I quit the match because that's just bs.

Really don't understand why they printed these "steal" cards. Devs were promising us for several months how they will especially avoid implementing stupid and irritating stuff from HS, then they proceed to print the most stupid and irritating ones. They said - no random, but if you browse your collection you'll now notice a lot of cards which say "random". Which is okay; they realized some rng and randomness is needed to fight monotony and tedious predictability (just don't overdo it!). But, "steal" doesn't help anything, it's just plain stupid; contradicting fundamental aims of the game. No clown fiesta is the exact reason why we would play LoR, otherwise we play HS and not LoR.

You also have Miss Fortune, her 1/1 version and plenty more.

The cost for dealing 1 damage to nexus is really low these days.

The reason why the pilfer package is so good is because all the pilfer cards are so low cost plunder payoffs. 2 mana for card- (and sometimes also tempo-) advantage - Who would not want that in an agressive list?

Cost nerfs on the other hand will make the whole package questionable since as I said the low cost is the key feature about pilfering.

I think nerfing goods to 3 mana is reasonable but it could be too much for the archetype to keep it's presence, what would actually not a bad thing.

Pilfer decks become extremely opressive against decks who play comparable gameplans (like in my case I play a Sejuani-deck therefore Pilfer Sejuani is stomping me expecially well while pilfer tf is not a big deal for me)

If you really want 2 mana goods still be a thing: than change it from actually drawing 2 cards to drawing copies of the top 2 cards or make them fleeting

The 2 cost pilfer card helps you draw a champion.

This is actually quite funny. Especially when they accidentally send you into deep and basically hand you the win. :D

Update: They must have changed it in a patch. I remember it used to count to your deep but I was playing deep today and the other guy stole some cards and it didn't count towered deep. Oddly enough it glitched the cards. They ended up showing that I was in deep but the deep effect didn't kick in till a few draws later.

Its a broken mechanic 100%, its a poor choice they decided to mold an entire regions mechanic around stealing cards from your opponents deck.
