  • Hearthstone's Dual-Class Cards Return in the Darkmoon Faire Mini Set - Here's Our Card Predictions

I was basically about to make a similar comment. I had no idea about the Scholomance spoilers, but I figured since these are callbacks to previous Year of the Phoenix mechanics, they would keep the same pairings.

I also think and hope Dean meant dual-class would come back in a future full expansion, where there would be a good chance that there would be different pairings.

  • Daily Kaldheim Card Spoilers for January 18

Loving these control lands.  All of them seem to expensive for anything but control but their effects are pretty cool.  The B/W cleric game is looking to be really fun as well, lots of new toys to incorporate.

Doomskar is also so sexy.  Literal turn 3 board clear can just wreck aggro decks.  Many times my turn 2 in control decks is playing a land and passing, foretelling this card is a great way to spend the turn.  Foretell is actually really great for mid/late game oriented decks. Either using that excess mana at the end of your turn to setup a cheaper next turn or to spend that early game setting up combo turns or strong mid game moves.

  • I had one of the best games ever in hearthstone with this deck, where it managed to win with exact lethal after a renolock played reno jackson, then a full Guldan board, then a full board of 6/6 clowns.  The final blow was huge buffed porcupines and Zixor Primes trading into the clown board and the porcupine deathrattles winning the game with all the clowns destroyed and lethal.

Another game to illustrate this deck’s power is winning despite a warlock getting a turn 4 enchanced dreadlord and then skull of the manari turn 5 into big demons like voidlord.

Most aggressive decks would have lost both of those games after the warlock highrolls and strong game ending cards, but this deck has the power to both beat up slow decks early and win on turn 6 and go the long game and win later, so it feels like any matchup is winnable.

  • Hi Pezman, thanks for the suggestion, it seemed like a good idea to me too and an earlier iteration had him but it was too inconsistent to actually work and saving buffed wolpertingers for that was counterproductive vs playing early for huge tempo and then attacking several times.  I actually replaced the tundra rhinos for the gryphons which work a lot better for early removal tempo and drawing your key minions including buffed ones from Dire Frenzy.

So far I won vs all big priests (about 3 so far) by building up a huge board and going face early before they got their ressurects going.

  • Rewards Track: Current progress

I'm currently at level 185, which according to my own spreadsheet is at about 59,1% of the whole reward track. Gaining 20 levels each week also applies to my own progress.

I should be still on track to complete the whole damn thing, assuming that the mid-expansion mini-set is located exactly at the 50% mark (which is going to be launched later this week alledgedly).

Btw, I was just wondering how you are going to obtain this mini-set; using either 2000 gold, spending real money ($15) or just by opening MDF packs.

This looks pretty darn powerful! I'm thinking Tundra Rhino would be a great fit. You could potentially have a handful of really cheap, buffed up beasts (looking at you, Wolpertinger) for a surprise OTK.

How does it do vs. Big Priest? I imagine you have to kill him early, or a REALLY big Trampling Rhino would be the only way to get through once he starts spamming his resurrects.

I couldn't find Moorabi.  It seemed like a really fun word but there's no support to make it workable.  Did you guys forget it was a thing?

Another week has gone and I´ve hit lvl 120. Looks like I can do 20 lvls a week with the weeklies, dailies and gameplay, which is quite cool imo.

I think that it is too wishful, but who knows.

  • Hearthstone's Dual-Class Cards Return in the Darkmoon Faire Mini Set - Here's Our Card Predictions

Right, but the very principle of cards with high reward for a deck restriction (e.g. highlander, odd/even, pure pally) only makes sense when the reward multiplied by the number of such cards in the deck is comparable to the price paid in the deck restriction. Add enough of them and you easily outweigh the price.

It is insightful to imagine the extreme limit where pally has a full 30 pure pally cards, so literally the entire deck is OP and you aren't worried about missing a few OP neutrals. There will be a break-point somewhere below that, and it may be a long way off, but it will eventually be reached if they keep supporting pure pally in Standard.

They can keep supporting it if all the pure pally cards are expensive so you cannot afford to use them all. But that requires designers making a commitment to do that, and they'll almost certainly break it some point. So I'd prefer it if they accept it is a temporary feature of the class, and choose to not walk down a road which will inevitably end with one more slap in the face to 'honest' decks in Wild (I just want to be able to use my cards, dammit!).
