Additionally the idea that Akshan is a well designed champ definately might have been the case at one point

But he very quickly became a beat stick for swinging glave in the same way Samara became an accelerator for bot spam

It's a pretty classic case of the most effective way to win at LOR is to not actually care about your Champs at all to simple use them as a means to an end unless they themselves can exodia and then that's okay keep those dudes alive

We see decks that are heavily reliant on their Champs like lurk and frostbite and deep generally underperform across all formats because it simple turns out that the 34 other cards in your deck matter more than your champions

What happened to master yi, or Lee Sin these primary champ build around win conditions that generally "should" be getting better as the game progresses and develops but are in fact getting infinitely worse

I dont know about you guys but I want to get dragon kicked in the face or void sliced or whatever. At least I know the game is working as intended

The worst part is I generally don't know how to fix this. They could make pro king roll with a random key word and sometimes he gets spell shield?

These things would be good but they wouldn't solve the fundamental problem of...spam 2/1s, exodia, or develop some other non champ related wincon generally being better than your primary champ wincon and as long as that's the case I don't know how the new Champ releases don't continue to be less impactful than they should be

You know what blizz? I'll take that pack. But if you want us to check out your stall more often, perhaps its best to get rid of that exclamation mark without needing us to click on every one of your quite expensive, very annoyingly slow to load, deals.

He gives you a weapon that does 9-15 damage over three turns, develops a 3/7 body on 6, and has to be removed, or your weapon just snowballs. That's fairly nuts considering what hunter is currently already capable of.

I think the reason why it feels underwhelming is because its so direct, and the fact that its easily countered by weapon tech. But if your opponent is forced to include weapon tech, mulligan and keep it for 6 turns I think its an indirect win anyway for a class like hunter.

When this happens, your only likely recourse will be to pack it in. If you can, try to have the reserves for a year of no income.

Normaly I succesfully ignore the exclamation mark on the shop icon, but this time I´ve checked, and to my surprise, there is a free Standard pack to claim. Didn´t see it mentioned anywhere, so I thought I might share. I know, it´s only one pack, but still...

Straight up insane.

Turn 6, 3/7 that immediately gives you a weapon that ends games or draw you cards that ends games. Basically whatever you pick, aside from the third option, will likely fit the gameplan and your opponent must either kill this or you snowball in both value and damage.

Perhaps the only known titan that can actually be countered with a tech card. But thats hardly a reason to not play it. I just cant see any hunter deck not play this card. Its good standalone, even better when supported.

Like all titans, this one is just going to be mandatorily required in all priest decks because it does everything priest would want to do. Even if youre playing for tempo, this card has 10 health and summons another 6/6 along with it. And to go one step further, that 6/6 will have taunt and lifesteal, meaning aggro cannot even ignore it.

The only thing that sets it apart from the titans thus far known, is that you may not need to kill aman'thul the turn after its played because its very close to being a reactive card. Other known titans snowballs, this one however, simply cannot win you games on its own.

But obviously like all titans, is there any conceivable reason to not include this in your deck?

Frankly, and I've said this multiple times we won't really know the true impact of the 3 Champs till Eternal ladder opens up

But yes as it stands in standard they numerically inferior in every way to what's good

Namely beater decks and aggro decks

Saying poro king is x good without braum is like saying Evelyn is x good without Siren song it just doesn't work or feel as strong

Similar things can be said about abush/ transform and its general reliance on pokey stick to flip ping based transform creatures or gnar

Bird lady might be the only champion we can definitely say is pretty meh and I will 100% agree with that

But thankfully the more cards that get printed thr better she gets absolutely she's a grower not a shower

But absolutely if you want to make the argument that decks with strong theme ingredients and build around conditions are generally bad right now in standard absolutely

Lurk is down to a negative winrate in standard...lurk the original Unga bunga is not Unga or bunga enough...for standard the format it's supposed to be good in

So yeah there is a problem with LOR and what works and what doesn't

And it isn't the champ design that's for sure

Keep in mind my big 10 brain solution for fixing midrange frostbite in standard was hmmmm what if I add more burst and put some big overwhelm wolves into it

And you know what it worked cuz or course it did. Part of it is the turbo ash ans leblanc tho so that is case where the Champs get to do some carrying in a non beater capacity which is nice

But 99% of the time I see people play ambush they don't turbo nadalee or try to preserve nar and if you arent doing that it says a lot about your faith in the current balance of power between champions and just hand vommit board state

I think this was a big problem that happened with gwent the minute gold cards or champions feel less important than say spamming pings till you play 3 6/6 bots

Or grinding stats till you have an exodia body and just playing a massive low curve 2/1 spam or anything else that's good right now

When that becomes more important than the Champs you're playing and the new Champs designed by Riot that's when the game stops functioning as intended

You see a lot of players they meta grind, they burn out and leave, they really don't contribute anything memorable

But the reason every struggles with Nifty as an established part of the LOR community

Is that I generally don't give a fuck

No deck trackers, no counters, no net decking, no nothing

Just me and my brain and my decks

And the fact that works drives people crazy

Well unfortunately I got the medals, most people don't proofs in the pudding
