I pray for the Face of whatever Mage or Shaman devolves their Demon Hunter opponents’ minion into this! Especially if they can then play Expendable Performers, or whatever! That “fill the board with Illidari, if they die this turn do it again” card.
I fully expect Mark to play a combo deck around getting Cable Rat into a Faceless lackey to summon this 2 drop playing DH for the memes (and the Vengeance!)
Very solid on its own even without the [Hearthstone Card (YShaarj, The Defiler) Not Found] package. If we get another mech expansion next year this card becomes even better.
ooooooooooo that is some SPICE. This gets corrupted after playing the new weapon, which summons a well statted elemental with taunt, filling both the Mech and Elemental types for N'Zoth, God of the Deep. Nozdormu, the Timeless for big dragon and quick corruption ramp fits in another spot. What's more is that this an exceptionally strong card to get off of Y'Shaarj, the Defiler since it helps stabilize the board after dropping your 10-drop. Double Old God Control Pally incoming?
With this and Hammer of the Naaru, I think it's becoming obvious that Team 5 is pushing a N'Zoth, God of the Deep deck for Paladin. So far, that deck has Carousel Gryphon, Hammer of the Naaru, and Fleethoof Pearltusk of which the weapon can help corrupt the two corrupt cards. Since there are a few corrupt cards in this N'Zoth package, I wouldn't be surprised if Y'Shaarj, the Defiler warrants an inclusion in this package as well. All I'm saying is don't sleep on the potential synergies this and the other aforementioned cards have with these Old Gods.
It's not a bad card, and is well costed for the effect, it just hits a weird intersection between rush and burst damage that no deck can really accommodate.
Can maybe be used in a combo I'm not seeing now, but I doubt it.
Not gonna lie, I'm happy to see another ETC card after so long (since Beta).
Will say this much about the reveal though. I know Trump's shtick is being cringey, but this just seemed excessive, even for him. I legit had to skip past him playing "metal" music and go straight to the actual gameplay part of the reveal.
I don't really think that this will see much play. If paladins want to summon 8/8 divine shield taunts, they will probably just use a libram package, and even then the libram package is not great. Could be strong if y'shaarj ends up being core to an archetype of its own, but I'm getting more doubtful about the existence of corrupt synergy cards other than y'shaarj.
This is a really tough sell when you compare it to Libram of Hope as you are usually able to get the Libram down around turn 6-7. The only way I see Hammer of the Naaru working is with N'Zoth, God of the Deep as the best elemental option, although I'm a bit skeptical of N'Zoth's game-ending potential as I think he's the weakest of the new Old Gods.
What a waste. I have always wanted Trolden to reveal a card with some wacky highlight from the devs testing team. Or at least a regular reveal of some card relevant to his craft - something flashy or random or fun or completely unplayably dumb! And what he got was just a bog standard large minion with nothing interesting going on.

Pretty acceptable in discard warlock, but while discarding lowest cost gives consistency, discard warlock usually wants to keep its lowest cost cards and discard higher cost payoffs.
Thorough maybe. Not sure that discolock ever really plans on having enough minions on board for this to really take off.

They have been pushing this Rush warrior thingy, but I don't think this is what makes it good... in fact not at all...

I think the OP meant design-wise, it's really not anything new or interesting for paladin.

Seems like the uncorrupted version is "ok card", 5 mana 5/5 ds is ok.
But the corrupted version it's really strong.

Poor paladin, who needs a highly discounted 8/8 divine shield with taunt
