  • Lady Liadrin is a new Paladin Legendary Revealed for Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Expansion

This isn't a new Paladin archetype either (OG Quest), I thought they had something new in store for the Class?

I guess we'll be seeing some more buff cards this expansion.

  • It's just my impression ...

Not really. The most powerful thing so far announced is the new dhunter class. Aside from that most the other cards are either plagued by RNG, draw RNG, or just plain not good.

Just about every expansion feels overpowered (with the possible exception of witchwood and rastakhans) because they're fresh and untested. But eventually every decks gotta start cutting down of these 'overpowered' cards because they need to tech against aggro decks, a feature that's nearly always the majority of the ranked matches.

As it stands right now, I can't see why face hunter wouldn't just wipe the floor with everyone's hopes and dreams, since the replacement for Zilliax has not (yet) been revealed.

  • It's just my impression ...

Many revealed cards are very strong, yes. We'll have to see if the whole expansion is OP. But since DoD was so very OP they have to make AoO et least somewhat OP for it to not disappear entirely.

  • Cheese's custom revamp of the PRIEST core sets! (Updated 27/03/2020 with Blizz's new cards)

Power Infusion is an iconic disco Priest spell in WoW, and iconic spells are generally part of the core sets, so this one doesn't surprise me. My version is closer to its effect in WoW than theirs btw.

  • It's just my impression ...

... or this expansion will be extremely overpowered ?

  • New Shaman Minion - The Lurker Below

Basically a 3-hp board clear, with an aggressive body.

That's a pretty nice Tempo swing.

Problem is when said board has bigger minions in-between.

    Compare with Duskbreaker and Arcanosaur.

Lurker is more threatening, and its condition is on the effect itself, board-based instead of card-based.

Either way, even in the worst case scenario, Lurker always does a minimum action.

    good to know

How do they keep missing these?

  • Demons in LoR

Riot set themselves a target to include every single league champion in LoR eventually.

recently league released this guy(it's rework but his lore got altered):

    Image result for fiddlesticks

And he is now classified as a demon, there are several other demons in LOL:  Tham Kench, Evelynn,Nocturne, Shaco, Brand.

As well as Aatrox, don't fit into any region as they can't call any their "home region" and less have followers as they all operate alone.

And there's also Kindred which is also "the angel of death" so it can't fit into any region.

What could Riot do with all those misfits? I looked at the icons of upcoming regions (why is Zaun there?)

תוצאת תמונה עבור runeterra region symbols

My guess is that this symbol is demons + void as they all share the trait of being "monsters".

My previous guess was.. "they fit the shadow isles don't they" but no.. they don't actually fit there, because they have no ties to the region.

    The follower problem

The void is easy to think of there are many other void creatures and they could have a lot of voidling tokens..

As for demons I am not sure.. It's said Fiddlesticks is "the first of ten" (from his voicelines (if you didn't hear it it's creepy AF)) so maybe the other nine fiddlesticks will appear in LoR? but what about Tham, Evelynn, Nocturne .. are there other similar creatures who would want to support them... and what Shaco will have?

I am really hopping the first expansion will be void and demons (most of them are junglers which is my main role so I am biased).

What do you think how they will handle this issue of the demons being region less? and them not having actual followers (as they operate alone).

My Quest Shudderwock deck will love this <3

  • The Lurker Below is a new Shaman Legendary Revealed for Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Expansion

According to Reddit it is a Beast, but it's missing its tag for now.

  • New Shaman Minion - The Lurker Below

A weaker bodied Fire Elemental, but with a semi-repeatable effect. Decent card but would've liked to see more health on this

  • New Rogue Minion - Akama

Decent Legendary that might find it's way in Galakrond ROgue

  • New Hunter Minion - Zixor, Apex Predator

This works well with the Hunter "Handbuffs" and "Handcopy" cards, but at first sight it's comparable with Scion of Ruin, which makes prime  Zixor look way overpriced.

  • Akama is a new Rogue Legendary Revealed for Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Expansion

Ofcourse it wont see play as a build around there isnt much to play around it just a nice minion

What do you want for 8 mana? Ideally you want to clear opponent's board and set up lethal for the following turn, this card does exactly that.

There are ways to tutor both version of the card, with one of them improving it immensly (Scavenger's Ingenuity).

The base form is nothing special, still a rush minion is always useful; for this card is especially nice as you can kill it without opponent having a chance to silence it or steal it.

Inconsistent as best. You'd want to buff Prime with Scavenger's Ingenuity but with two more beasts in the deck that becomes difficult.

It is not inconsistent at all because you control exactly when you shuffle Prime into your deck. You can also play two copies of Ingenuity and even add Vargoth to double draw. So you can draw three buffed beasts. It is super consistent. Feels like a very easy 30dmg combo. Hard part is to survive until 8 mana.

It's inconsistent because you have to wait to draw both Rhino and Webweaver before you can shuffle and set up and Hunter isn't exactly known for being good at that

  • New Neutral Minion - Teron Gorefiend

It just struck me that this card could be THE deathrattle activator for Prime legendaries. You avoid silence effects and get another Akama or whomever. Nasty!

  • New Rogue Minion - Akama

Miracle-Galakrond Rogue stuff, but vulnerable to setup disruption (unlike Leeroy), although quite resilient.

To be honest i'm not even sure i'd play a 6 mana 6/5 with permastealth even if it existed as a card of its own.

The fact that you have to draw Akama, let Akama die, then draw the Prime and play it feels a bit too clunky for a reward that is nice but maybe not worth it.

At least the 3 mana 3/4 with stealth is a nice minion on its own, so maybe the card will see play not as a build around but just as another treath.

  • New Hunter Minion - Zixor, Apex Predator

I wonder if this could be a new win condition for Quest Hunter seeing how Leeroy and Flark rotate so their reach is pretty much gone.

If you can't beat em with Reach, beat em with value. With Nine Lives you can shuffle multiple ones into your deck and can also combo them with Ramkahen Roar for a 10-mana triple 6/4 with rush for multiple turns in a row.

Basically do the old Scion build from Galakrond Warrior but for Hunter

  • New Rogue Minion - Akama

Silence effects deletes all card text, so the permanent stealth effect would definitely disappear. I imagine Zephrys into Deadly shot will be the main antidote to this guy if needed.

  • This patch makes me want to quit this game.

I felt the same in many ways and that's why I stopped playing (although I won't rule out the possibility of returning with a new set)

It's kind of ironic how a game that was built on the idea of constant back and forth and interactive gameplay is plagued by decks that circumvent that exact principle.

  • Akama is a new Rogue Legendary Revealed for Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Expansion

There's always overlap between classes so I don't think there's going to be any drive to cut back on rogue's tempo and weapon side. There's lots of stuff demon hunters are supposedly bad at that rogue usually gets tools for anyway, e.g. single target removal and card generation.

But yes, it is good for this expansion especially to lean on rogue's other aspects. Even more so given the class is doing just fine as it is, so they can do something janky like bring back secrets.

  • Zixor, Apex Predator is a new Hunter Legendary Revealed for Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Expansion

This has a lot of combo potential. [Hearthstone Card (Scavenger's Ingenuity) Not Found] for 7/7 prime and Scarlet Webweaver on this or Tundra Rhino can easily OTK the opponent.

    7x4=28 +2 Rhino attack for a 30 dmg turn 8.
