Announcement regarding Hearthstone Battlegrounds and this subreddit

With the announcement and early release of Hearthstone Battlegrounds, the mod team would like to take this time to discuss with you all our intentions going forward regarding Hearthstone Battlegrounds content on the subreddit. For the time being, we will be hosting "What's working, What isn't?" threads for all Battlegrounds related discussion regarding what has been bringing you success or failure in your trials to discover how to best approach this new game mode.

After much consideration, we have decided to also allow standalone posts about Battlegrounds content, under the strict condition that it is deemed quality content that sparks competitive discussion regarding things such as the meta, optimal build paths, optimal strategies, etc. An example of content that we would allow would be a thread that details in-depth analysis of the metagame, in-depth analysis of the minions, optimal purchases, etc, basically anything that sparks healthy discussion and that will improve the overall skill level of our readers.

Threads that will not be allowed as standalone threads are things like "What's the best minion to buy?", "How do I play?", "Is it better to use 'x' minion, or 'y' minion?" All threads of this nature will be deleted and the author will be redirected to instead post these questions in the 'What's Working?' threads.

Going forward, we want to gauge your interest in Hearthstone Battlegrounds and see where it goes. If the game mode proves to be competitive enough in nature, we are open to hosting both, Competitive Hearthstone and Competitive Battlegrounds discussions on this subreddit, or even better, hosting an entirely new subreddit dedicated purely to Competitive Battlegrounds if there is enough traffic to warrant it. Please be patient with us for these next few weeks while we determine what's best for both you all, as well as the subreddit, and please give us your opinions and thoughts on what you would like to see regarding how we treat Hearthstone Battlegrounds content on this sub. We know you are all excited to discuss this new mode in a serious competitive environment and want to help with that. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks!
