Soggoth the Slitherer took me to legend!
So I've been playing hearthstone for a year or so now and only really in the last 2 months have i started taking it really quite seriously. Having said that, I'd always considered trying to make legendary but rather narrow mindedly passed it off as something that nobody with a fulltime job and/or social responsibilities could actually ever achieve. This was predominantly down to the enormous amount of time it seems to take considering the average player at rank 5 has a 55%ish win rate. However this month especially, I said to myself I'd give it a real go. Playing 5-10 games everynight at least and considerably more at the weekends where possible. I was switching between Dragon priest / Zoo / Mid range shaman and having mixed success. Like most players (I assume, it could just be me who sucks) I'd climb to rank 3, fall to 4/5 or even 6, climb back up again, get knocked down and so on. I then decided to craft myself a control warrior deck, with the inclusion of an enormous taunt minion that cant be removed via any spell. Now this deck took me 19 and 2 in the times I played it during ranks 5-1 and I sincerely think at least 18% of those wins were the sole responsibility of this one card.
My question I suppose is, why are more people not playing Soggoth? I understand I could have just been lucky in ladder but this deck has also only lost once in all the little tournaments I've been entering. The deck itself gets absolutely annihilated against mid-range hunter for some reason (well one reason in particular) but everything else I feel I have a very strong chance against, largely because of this impossible to remove target.
Where is the soggoth love?? :D

Soggoth was actually really good in the playtests we did. Wasn't something I was ever worried about because of the existence of Black Knight.... but as it turns out 5/9 creatures you can't target are .... preeetttty good!

I feel like these comments are misleading. Mathematically true but it's not a realistic representation of the people actually in Legend. Most people play 300-500 games with a 60+% win rate. Most of the people that actually do play 1k+ games still have 60+% win rate on their way to Legend, too. In any case, if you have a friend in Legend or gotten Legend yourself.... chances are you are just a really, really good player and not just someone with a lot of time :).
