    It's really a dumb argument. It's such a dominant, oppressive deck that the meta revolved around fighting it. When rock is a boulder, everyone is going to choose paper.

    Yes, Patron might not have been as dominant at lower levels because it's harder to pilot, but that doesn't mean the deck is bad either.

    The fact that, as people describe it, Blizzard "gutted" Warsong, and it's still listed as a T2 deck... that says a lot about how fucked up the situation was.

    I think the tournament meta warped around patron a bit but this was never the truth on ladder, in fact it was really the opposite. The highest play rate decks for the majority of the time Patron was popular were actually some of old Patrons most favorable match ups (Paladin, Hunter). Regardless, I think the 'new' patron still has a lot of what made 'old' patron fun so I'm glad the deck still exists in some form because there were certainly a lot of cool qualities to it.
