    This particular employee was not a designer first. He was in QA for other Blizzard products for quite a while. He was known in the office for his skills and only recently (~6 months) did the hearthstone team hire him.

    As far as I know the rest of the team is not at this level.

    First part is correct, but as for the second part... there are a lot of great players on the team.
