Nice of them to announce it at the very end of the first qualifying season...

To be fair, we did mention this back in March, in this blog here. We didn't have all of the details regarding the tournament at that time, but we did state that performing well in Ranked Play was important.

Australia is part of the Americas region. So you'll be competing against Americans and other Australians to hit a good enough Legendary rank to make it to the Americas Qualifier tournament.

    Correct! Thanks, swccggergall. :)

If you qualify for a region and the world championship is held in a different region do you need to have cards on that server also?

Tournament accounts will be given to the World Championship participants. For the qualifiers however, you must play with your own cards and account.

It mentions residency requirements at one point, so I'm guessing you have to be able to live in the region you qualify for?

Players can only qualify for one regional through Ranked Play - if they qualify for two regions, they can choose which regional to compete in.

If I end at rank 16 or higher this season, I'd get an invite? My english isn't the greatest so if anyone could clarify this for me I would appreciate it.

Was rank 70 yesterday, 16 seems doable.

Correct, if you hit Rank 16 Legend or higher, you would get an invite to the qualifiers. Best of luck!
