I like to comment on this particular statement every so often, it comes up a lot. What you say is largely true, but as a developer the kind of feedback that is most valuable is feedback that comes from you personally. Things like "I'm a casual player and I don't like this because of X reason" or "I'm a pro player and I like this because Y reason" is totally valid. Feedback that is less useful is when someone is positive or negative on a topic because of the way they perceive some other group 'probably' thinks about it. Honestly any feedback is appreciated, but I think it's important not to discourage feedback because it only represents one person, that's most true feedback someone can really give.
