I'm going to be a bit of an ass here and say I really don't care about this type of content. I don't want lore, fluff pieces, or interviews. I just want new cards. (And yes, I know I start getting them in 5 days).
That's fine. When we do stuff like this we know it's not for everyone, and we try to do something a little different for each expansion.
I know that there are players, probably most players, who care solely about card reveals, and those will be starting soon. In the meantime, there are also those who (hopefully) have fun with stuff like this too. Think of it as 'in addition to' rather than 'instead of'.
You spent so much time developing these characters. Why not have a little bestiary in game with a short bio for the bosses you fight in the dungeon run?
This could serve as incentive to fight every boss in there -> kind of like achievements.
While that's probably a tall order for appearing in-game, I have thought about ways of giving the bosses and other new characters in Kobolds & Catacombs a little more history (aside from this story, I mean). Hm. . . .

I write a lot of what ends up on the blogs, in-game banners, push notifications, a little bit of flavor text etc.
