Dear Team 5, we know you're keeping a "close eye" on wild but..

At the start of this year Team 5 said they had failed wild during 2016, not giving it any proper attention and generally just treating it as a non-existent game mode. They emphasized it shouldn't feel like a lower valued trashcan and they were going to improve things!

I've been primarily playing wild, and although I prefer the format over standard, I have this weird feeling that there is something not quite right about the meta, something that many consider unfun and unfair. I'm talking about the absolutely massive and disgusting prevalence of Priest.

I know it's on your radar, but could you take another look, and maybe see if that radar is still functioning?

This is a high play rate and that alone could be an issue. However I think I lot of people play priest because they enjoy it, not because it is the best deck by far or something like that.

It also takes a while to kill you, usually giving you time to try and play out your own strategy.

Even given all these things it could still be a problem if people get sick of playing against it or if it is keeping certain archetypes out of the meta that it happens to crush.

I don't play wild, I thought the whole naga sea witch giants combo was a prevalent thing? Does it just get shut down too hard by the priest DK or did it get nerfed?

It ended up being a tier 2 deck. I was pretty worried at first, and it still might end up being a problem because of the big swing turns it can create.

I know you have different (more realistic) stats than vS but isn't the gap between priest and the rest more than class enjoyment ?

A lot of people don't play Warrior or Rogue because they are the worst classes by far.

Well the VS report shows reno priest as the 6th best deck.

When a playrate is that high and the winrate is not that high it means one of 2 things - Either the deck is pretty fun or people think the deck is stronger than it actually is.
