Branching Paths only upgrades the Jasper Spellstone once

The moment at 2:43 in this [video](www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORzgjo8wCJk) clearly indicates that the spellstone gets upgraded once while using branching paths even if you choose "gain 6 armor" 2 times.

That video is old. I think it upgrades twice now.
