HS College Championships - Dalaran Flame card back PSA

So I recently attended the Heroes of the Dorm finals in Vegas last weekend (4/08), and as an attendee, I received a promotional card that would gift me the Dalaran Flame card back. The event occurred on a Saturday, and I didn't get home until the 10th.

When I tried to enter the code on the 11th, I got an error message saying it was invalid. I looked at the card closer, and it said that it had expired on the 10th... there was only a window of 2 days to redeem the code. Now, this seemed odd, so I filed a service ticket to see if it would be possible to have the card back applied to my account. I sent the service ticket in with the redemption code listed in my reply and got a message back that apparently someone else had already redeemed this code on a different account. Now, this sounded even more strange to me.

I had to send in a photo of the card I received with the code visible (which I did), and I got a response back that they'd need to review it, but there was no guarantee that I'd get the card back.

I don't know about you, but I have found this experience to be a bit disappointing and strange. If I get it, great... if not, I'll be disappointed, but it's not the end of the world.

Now I'm seeing on the Blizzard app's Hearthstone promotion screen an ad promoting the Dalaran Flame card back to attendees of the Hearthstone Collegiate National Championships on April 22-23rd.

To anyone going, I highly recommend you take a close look at the expiration date on the code card you get and make sure you redeem it quickly, or you may be out of luck like me.

    That's not how it worked at the Heroes of the Dorm finals... we were given cards with redemption codes (card back code, Kerrigan cheerleader bundle code, etc.). Ticket sales were sold via UNLV's ticket system and you had to get a "goodie bag" of redeemable cards by actually attending the event. I was there at the event. We had to go to https://us.battle.net/account/management/claim-code.html to enter a code to get the card back.

    Hearthstone Collegiate Finals is different than Heroes of the Dorm. There are no code cards for this event.

    The Dalaran Flame card back that is part of the attendee gifts for the Hearthstone Collegiate Championship will be granted directly to the attendee's account you will not need worry about a code expiring.

    These gifts will only be given to attendees - these are not "virtual ticket" awards.

    If you bought a ticket expecting to get a code card or code by email, please request a refund through Eventbrite today.
