"Validated Doomsayer" should be "Vindicated Doomsayer" and it's driving me completely insane.

I have never ever seen an individual described as "validated" - the phrase implies some sort of quality control process to ensure a given Doomsayer is fit for market, that the Doom being Said meets EPA standards for Doom. A Doomsayer that fails this validation process could be subject to recall.

To say somebody is "vindicated" on the other hand, implies directly that their claims or beliefs have been proven correct. It's clear that a Vindicated Doomsayer is a Doomsayer that's been Saying Good Doom, while a Validated Doomsayer is a Doomsayer who's been independently confirmed to get the same miles to the gallon as advertised on the sticker.
