Need some clarification on Star Aligner's requirements

Star Aligner's text reads that if you control 3 minions with 7 health, then its effect triggers.

It seems a bit ambiguous to me but it does make sense that it would require exactly 7 health minions to trigger due to how Fight Promoter is worded.

What I don't quite understand is if you need exactly 3 minions or if you can have more.

Just confirmed that Star Aligner DOESN'T count himself. My friend had 2x 1/8 on the board, played Star Aligner and it did not trigger. From the wording it should though. /u/mdonais is that correct?

8 isn't 7 Star aligner does count itself if it has 7 health.
