With Boomsday almost here - can the Blizzard devs please tell us if there was a secret interaction with the witches cauldron or not?

Witchwood cards are also prefixed GIL_ - Gil standing for Gilneas. Actually, a few Hearthstone expansions have prefixes unbefitting their final names - Most of them are what you'd expect, but for fun:

The Grand Tournament is: AT - Standing for Argent Tournament

Means Streets of Gadgetzan is: CFM - Not actually sure about this one.

Knights of the Frozen Throne is: ICC - Standing for Icecrown Citadel

Kobolds and Catacombs is LOOTA - Amusingly harking back to it's original theme: "Blingtron's Lootapalooza"

I figure somebody other than me will find this interesting/amusing :P

Okay I know I’m like five months late, but since you find these prefixes interesting/amusing:

LOOTA is just the adventure cards, the collectible cards use LOOT.

In my time on the team I think we’ve had about a 33% hit rate on the prefix still relating to the shipping title. Old Gods, Karazhan, and Boomsday all have very clear prefixes, but usually the prefixes wind up relating more whatever lore/theme we’re using as the seed for the set and the title comes in fairly late after we know all the everything going into it. Un’Goro is the only set I’ve seen get a prefix change.

Un’Goro’s was originally RAWR. I don’t remember why we changed it, but I’ve never stopped being sad that we did.=P

    FP1 - Naxx

    GVG - GVG

    BRM - BRM

    AT - TGT

    LOE - LOE

    OG - OG

    KAR - Kara

    CFM - MSG

    UNG - UNG

    ICC - KFT

    LOOT - Kobolds

    GIL - WW

    BOT - Boomsday

    TRL - Rumble

Does that look right? Haha, Boomsday wasn't exact too...

Haha true on Boomsday - I'm so used to thinking of it as the BoomBOT expansion that BOT never bugged me the way ICC or GIL did.X)

Also fuck, apparently I messed up the historically pretty good success rate on prefixes making sense.:P
