Duplicate protection in packs will now be across all rarities!

What do you think? Is this enough to make pack opening feel rewarding?

...God damn it, I already logged in :(

Although they said that anyone that logs in starting today and has been away for four months will get the deck. So... Maybe I'm still in?

You're still in! We start marking your account for getting the free deck today. Once the patch hits on March 26th, you'll get the free deck.

This is honestly more exciting to me than I expected from anything in the entire announcement. And it happened in the first 30 seconds.

Super happy to see all the excitement for this change! We're stoked on it too <3

I'm not seeing it show up for you. Do you have the "Show my flair on this subreddit" box checked? You may need to visit old.reddit.com to see it, if you're on new reddit. It looks like this.

I went to go save it and it looks like it's gone now?

I shall fade back into obscurity.

Are there any plans to potentially expand the # of classes, say DK and Monk, in the future?

Never say never, but we're tackling adding a new class for the first time ever and we have to see how it works out. Just focusing on doing Demon Hunter justice for now.

Oh it's Cora, just checked your profile. I can take your word then.

Btw, keep the good work! ✌️

Lol I have no cred without a flair >_<

Yeah the goal is to make the game less expensive, so we're not adding more cards to expansions to compensate. DH just gets a little extra love!

They said that DH would get 15/per expansion while the other classes would continue to get 10. I guess they could increase the number of neutrals each expansion, but that seems doubtful

Basically 30 neutrals instead of the normal 35, plus 10/class and 15 DH. It comes out to 135 per set.

Any source? DH class is supposed to even get more cards than other classes to catch up.

I'm a dev on the Hearthstone team. They're getting additional cards to keep up, but we're making cuts in other places to keep the price of the set the same as you're used to. :)

I agree that people are just hyped for the moment and overreacting. HS still is going to be expensive af. This basically only affects the epic rarity and mainly to those that buy a lot of packs every expansion.

Also, consider that since there is a new class, theres going to be more than 130+ cards per expansion. And, if they keep releasing new adventures that locks cards behind a pay wall, the game is not going to be cheaper but the other way around.

Nah that won't be the case. Expansions will still be the same amount of cards you're used to (~135).
