No game mode has matchmaking times like that at any point for any region. When players do encounter situations like this it's usually the result of a connectivity bug of some kind. We work to resolve these issues as they come up but if you ever have a queue of 2-3+ minutes your best bet is to drop queue and try again rather than stay in the queue.
