I went to HR several times, only after checking with others (men and women) I wasn’t crazy or alone in my experience. Often these men had multiple similar reports against them. Every time but one, HR shrugged it off. The one time they didn’t was when my lead reported on my behalf

That was also the time HR named me to the man who was being aggressively condescending *only* to me and the one woman he interacted with, leading to him physically cornering me from behind, in an empty office and visibly upset, to ask about my report.

Don’t blame people who didn’t feel safe going to HR and are speaking up now. Don’t blame those who did, were ignored or punished, and are speaking up again. HR has failed us so many times; it needs just as much of an overhaul as the rest of the industry.
