@RavenCasts I've often cited Blizzard's consistency here too, but lately I wonder. If a school cafeteria said, "here's your lunch, it's a terrible rat stew and every day we add more rats, take it or leave it" I'm not sure I'd be mad at people for asking them to maybe take the rats out.

What's happened is that the school has provided a range of nutritious meals and then also said "ok look, there's rat stew over there, but probably don't eat that it's got rats in it" And then people ate it and said "FFS THIS HAS RATS IN IT"

@coL_Sottle @RavenCasts Well, I already covered that in my analogy by saying a different school has a different meal. I don't know if it's fair to say people who enjoy old cards have a real choice to play them elsewhere. In other words, more like switching schools than choosing a different lunch.

@coL_Sottle @RavenCasts I think you'd be minimizing the impact of the change in experience by saying it's as easy as switching to a different lunch. Moving to standard for instance, people have to build new decks, use new cards, lose access to those cards eventually, and more.

@coL_Sottle @RavenCasts I also just can't help but read this as mockery and derision for people who are just asking to have fun. I just don't understand why that's being mocked. I feel like everyone is being so condescending lately.

@coL_Sottle @RavenCasts Maybe we're being exposed to different folks, I don't know. But I've had countless respectful and disheartened people tell me they want Wild fixed. I don't play it, I don't know the details, but I don't feel like shitting on then for wanting to have fun.
