So what about the opposite? What's your best movie-going experience? What movie completely surprised you or exceeded every expectation you had? What movie are people sick of hearing you recommend?

@GarrettArt Might sound like a weird random choice, but for me it's About Time. Wife told me it was just some romantic comedy and the time travel stuff caught me totally off guard, and then it swirled me up in all its joy and sadness and LIFE.

@RegisKillbin I know nothing about this. It’s a time travel movie?!

@GarrettArt Yeah, don't worry, that's not a spoiler, it's the advertised hook, I just went in clueless. "At the age of 21, Tim discovers he can travel in time and change what happens and has happened in his own life."

@GarrettArt It's basically a romantic comedy that turns into a bit of a reflection on life all centered around that hook.

@Songbird_HS @RegisKillbin Damn this is apparently a sleeper within the HS community. Gonna have to add this to the watch list.

@GarrettArt @Songbird_HS I saw you hate Interstellar, so if you're someone who gets hung up on logical consistencies of sci-fi stuff, it's potentially got some holes, I really can't remember. It's more about the emotional exploration than the time travel.

@RegisKillbin @Songbird_HS I love most time travel flicks. Definitely don’t get too hung up on the rules. Interstellar was more that it bored me and felt high on itself.

@GarrettArt @RegisKillbin @Songbird_HS it's my favorite genre of sci-fi and any movie that takes the rules too seriously usually ends up having just as many problems as breaking all of them
