@Celestalon Is the "reached legendary multiple times" a hard requirement?

@T_B_Morgan I believe this role will lean toward Final Design, where high level skill matters a ton. So perhaps not a 100% hard requirement, but pretty firm.

@Celestalon Gonna share to customhearthstone. Though is this an initial or final design role?

@coolboypai We need more help on Final at the moment, though Initial skills are also valuable.

@Celestalon I remember when I was 7 in 1st grade my teacher said write what you wanna be when you grow and I put “card designer”. She said oh you mean “car designer” I was like no -_-‘ Part of me always wants to apply but I’m not sure if I’m ready for a big lifestyle change if I got in 🤔

@Celestalon Please hire @RidiculousHat, there's not enough cheese themed cards

@RidiculousHat @maiinge @Celestalon We just made a cheese card. How many cheese cards is enough for you people?!

@Songbird_HS @RidiculousHat @maiinge @Celestalon We even gave the cheese card an entire entrée of cheesy voicelines! I guess even THAT isnt enough cheese

@MyntyPhresh @RidiculousHat @maiinge @Celestalon We literally combined cheese and cheesy puns and nobody plays him. I'd argue that was some of our finest work and it is completely underappreciated.

@Celestalon Working in my own card game shop for 10 years and 22 playing card games counts?
      • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@KajiSagara Doesn’t hurt! This role will especially focus on balance and tuning, so game design skills, communication skills, and very high-skill play experience matter most.

@Celestalon Part of my unlisted job in the shop and most of my tcg life its helping others players to build decks, test and some times find holes in the rules, ej 1 of my criticism in yugioh its the lack of a pool banlist that allows less advantage decks have an edge vs the meta, is that?

@KajiSagara It could certainly help! The biggest deal here is in the game design skill, and hearthstone skill specifically though.

@Celestalon I have been on top of the ladder in both wild, standard and classic. Also in Gwent. With a masters degree in psychology I have been taught how a game can be motivating, frustrating, epic etc. I cant see anything here about if you can work from Europe. Is that an option?

@sipiwi94 Relocating locally would be nice, but I believe remote is an option as well. Remote outside the US does add an additional layer of complication, but isn't out of the question. We already have a couple designers permanently remote in Europe.
