@DCalkosz From a BGs perspective, there aren't a lot of things to drive excitement, whether it's tourneys, events, or that much in the public eye. We get patch notes and... ?. Events have been few and far between, tournaments nearly non-existent. I think for pirates there was a (1/x)

@DCalkosz preview with a few creators. I think there was like one instance of creators unveiling some heroes. There's been 2 major innvitationals, one of which had a lot of non-BG creators. There are a lot of homebrew leagues and tourneys that go under the radar which doesn't help. (2/x)

@DCalkosz Even when new skins are being released people hardly know about them (except the first set, due to all the giveaways). All these things that are help bring eyes onto the game, but also make it feel like we're being paid attention to. As a creator, I'm relatively attuned (3/x)

@DCalkosz to it all, but for the general player, it just feels like being ignored. Diablo was a perfect example of a short term event that helps drive interest, even if the execution didn't end up being perfect. Spells were a really cool addition, but because there wasn't tuning, (4/x)

@DCalkosz ended up just being another thing that got solved and got frustrating for a lot of players. So not only did they go from fun to un-fun it felt like things were just being ignored. Much like how balance changes are sometimes made just to adjust how the game "feels" rather (5/x)

@DCalkosz than strictly about stats etc. I think that the community engagement needs to improve focus on things that will feel better for the players. Giveaways are great for engagement, but only impact the feel for a tiny percentage of people that win. More diversity in the creators (6/x)

@DCalkosz that are featured, makes it feel like there is more attention on the community as a whole. The recent global was an awesome event, with high level of competition, range of modes, and diverse creators. Also barely anyone knew about it. Feels like a squandered opportunity, (7/x)

@DCalkosz instead of a celebration of the game. What if there was a special skin or card back added to receive by watching or engaging in the event? Or just make it free and brand the event as a celebration and post about it on the website. Last thing is just more community dialogue. (8/x)

@DCalkosz @IksarHS AMAs are great. @alkali_layke has been on point in just a few weeks. Jeff Kaplan's developer updates for Overwatch were amazing. What if we got something like this every few weeks. What about community councils? This tweet has triggered a ton of engagement. (9/x)

@pocky_plays @DCalkosz @IksarHS I will absolutely be doing something similar to what @IksarHS does here on Twitter. Just need a chance to get settled in. Can't wait to engage the community like that!
