      I had them penciled them in as Owatanka, Washte Pawne, and Pinchy the Crab for a while. They were always pretty similar to the base Animal Companion designs though, so that's ultimately what we went with. Now you can summon Leokk every turn for the rest of the game. 😘

        @Songbird_HS was the hero power originally developed at a 3 mana cost? or is it just because Animal companion? because at 2 mana it probably would be alright as well . just curious of the thought process :) if you don't mind sharing :)

          @koljan016 We did test at 2 mana for a while, but it just came down a bit too early in the game. If Tavish were 8 mana I think we could have done 2 for the hero power.

            @Songbird_HS Now that we've seen the power level of Tavish in the new set do you think there's a chance we can turn Summon Pet into a 'Discover Companion' effect? Seems like a potential happy medium to keep HP at 3 mana. cc @GallonHS @BoarControl

              @SidisiTV @Songbird_HS @BoarControl Very unlikely to see a change like that to an animal companion design. A key part of that type of effect is to have a random outcome. “Always huffer” isn’t as fun an outcome when it’s actually true

                @GallonHS @SidisiTV @Songbird_HS @BoarControl Tavish needs a change at least the summon pet artwork / animal companions should be reworked. I think people would love to see dif versions of animal companions at least for art work / names of cards. We are close to year 2022 . New ideas and refreshing things are always welcome

Unfortunately with the amount of time it takes to request and iterate on artwork, it's probably just not going to happen now. It's something we'll keep in mind for the future though. :)

      @Songbird_HS What was the deciding factor in pushing Tavish's hero power to 3 mana? Was it tested at 2 mana and it was too powerful or...? It makes Tavish the only hero power in ladder formats to be priced at 3 mana and when you compareTamsin to Tavish (both 6 mana), I just feel a bit sad. 😔

        @ThisIsSurreal_ Yeah it was a timing thing for the most part. Tamsin's hero power is slightly delayed board presence while Tavish's is immediate. That much tempo + essentially infinite resources (sort of) was just a bit much to price under base rate that early in the game.
