#GameDevPaidMe Happy to share my pay if it helps others In the Industry since 08 where I started at $9/hour, lol 2020 was technically only a 3.5% bump vs 2019 but in reality was massive since I was hourly again, and I worked a lot of OT. Bonuses were better too! https://t.co/EfwZ4SBxJq

I probably won't make as much in 2021 as I did in 2020, but that's okay. I worked way less OT, and that's the nature of being hourly. I had some real sticker shock in 18 and 19 when I realized I was making less because of salary, despite shouldering way more. Demoralizing

The other truth is that I was really happy as a QA analyst testing WoW Raids. I was fucking good at it too. But that pay wasn't going anywhere fast as you can see so I got into QA leadership, used that to get out of QA, got pay bumps in Esports and then got out of there too

@Zorbrix Was at my happiest as a QA II on quests making 15$ an hour. The team that worked Pandaria was incredible. So many good memories despite working an insane amount of OT.
