              @hypopyh @puffinplays I forget what the task was but we had a bunch of duplicate copies of something and he straight up just took the whole expansion folder and clicked through an endless stream of dialogue boxes saying "NO NO DONT DO IT" and just did it anyway.

                @hypopyh @puffinplays @LegendaryFerret might know more. We recovered it? I don't remember I'm old. I just remember it was an extreme pain in the butt.

                        @RickMKick @IksarHS @hypopyh @puffinplays @LegendaryFerret Heh, I'll try. Back in the day... Our tools were built to help with the repetitive tasks that we often do as designers. Create and edit cards, etc. But they weren't so helpful for doing things that were rarely done, like creating a new cardset.

                          @RickMKick @IksarHS @hypopyh @puffinplays @LegendaryFerret So the process for creating a new cardset was mostly manual. Adding to enums in C++ code in a few places, creating a few new cardset definition xml files by copying/pasting the previous cardset and changing values.

                            @RickMKick @IksarHS @hypopyh @puffinplays @LegendaryFerret And because the tools weren't doing it, it didn't automatically create Perforce changelists, so there was a bunch of manual 'check in each file that was created'. THE MISTAKE: I think I missed checking in one of the new files.

                              @RickMKick @IksarHS @hypopyh @puffinplays @LegendaryFerret Our servers were also a lot more fragile back then. For me, they started up fine. But for everyone else, they ran into that missing cardset file on startup, and barfed a slew of errors, and gave up, wouldn't launch.

                                @RickMKick @IksarHS @hypopyh @puffinplays @LegendaryFerret After about 3hr of me trying to figure out what I had done wrong ("It works on my machine!"🤣), with nobody on the team able to launch servers, followed by about 10min of @swingsy explaining what was wrong and helping me solve it, and things were back up and running.
