Yesterday, I decided to stop being a victim to my destructive idiosyncrasies and got my ADHD eval. While taking the test I started sobbing. Everything that I ascribed to being autistic and unfixable, was in fact fixable. I have *severe* ADD. Now on the path to a better life.

@Phaerixia lemme guess, executive dysfunction is a symptom you have been struggling with? to put it simply "I want to do the thing, I know I have to do the thing, I can physically do the thing, but I cant do the thing, and I dont know why"

@DeshFyre That's a big part of it, but the other destructive habits were object permanence that would leave me hunting for things for about 30-minutes to an hour every day. Which was especially bad if I needed to make it on time for meetups. :(

@Phaerixia oh yeah that part is always pretty bad. its so difficult to deal with tbh. even if you know to try and put things in 1 or 2 places. one slip up and you dont remember where the object is anymore and spend way too much time looking. the worst is loosing something thats in your hand

@DeshFyre I've misplaced so many things because of this, I specially remember @Celestalon telling me that I could lose a phone on my person lol

@Phaerixia @DeshFyre Indeed, and just be resigned to it being gone. :)
