We lost a true Hero of the Storm this week.

I'm sorry for the emotional rant, I work nights and there is no one for me to vent to right now.

A dear friend and coworker, who trained me here at work and taught me everything I know, passed in his sleep the other night at the age of 31. Signs indicate a blood clot. He was like the big brother I never had, and could bring out the best in anyone around him.

Since its release, at least once a week after work (when we both worked evenings) we would all climb into TeamSpeak and play Heroes of the Storm for hours. Me, him, his fiancée, and maybe another co-worker or two. So many laughs, so many rages; great plays, not so great plays. He mained Sylvanas.

This is a clip from one of our quickmatches a while ago. He's the first one to speak announcing that he's going for the Hail Mary, XxEpochxX. I'm the other guy (Johanna, FoaL1991) and then his fiancée was with us on Lili (MurlocNinja). No, it isn't terribly impressive and yeah we got a little salty at one of our random teammates who called us trash and basically gave up at the end. But it shows how much life he brought and how much of a goofball Epoch was with his friends and loved ones.

Keep MurlocNinja in your thoughts and well-wishes. We'll see you in the Nexus someday, buddy.

EDIT I just realized what this looks like, but this video is close to a year old. When I get home I'll remove the Monetization.

EDIT 2 Removed the monetization of that video for sincerity's sake. If you want to hear more of his antics, here is the last video I have with him and MurlocNinja. We were playing Diablo III (I was carrying them and another friend through a seasonal GR). His mic was acting up (turns out his beloved WoW: Cataclysm SteelSeries headset was shorting out) and he sounded hilarious.

I want to thank all of you for your sentiments. Sorry if I started anyone's day off heavy.

He sounds like an amazing person, both from the video and the fact that you are so moved to post here.

I'm sorry to hear he passed. May the Dark Lady watch over him.
