Thing is, the exact same promise has been made at least 2 times here on this subreddit by them previously.
Not to mention that they have, in general, been aware and even talked about this issue publicly, too.
They've no intentions to improving that, otherwise it'd have already been here.
It's a known issue and something we'll address eventually, but in the grand scheme of things we want to improve, its not a big priority. It doesn't affect many players and the impact doesn't harm the game. It's just annoying.
We'll get to it, but there are many more impactful things we'd rather spend development resources on currently (ex. all the gameplay changes, matchmaking changes, and voice chat coming your way soon).
