Is monstrosity considered a situational pick? Perhaps in cases where there isn't a good clone target and/or advantageous maps for it? I don't know if you consider monstrosity better than ultimate evolution in some cases.
I've been picking monstrosity exclusively on Cursed Hollow, but one important counter to look for is Globals. They REALLLLY hurt monstrosity potential. So if you have a good clone target, and they have globals, take clone.
I'm almost convinced. Is monstro's popularity basically because of the hat buffs from a while back?
The buffs certainly helped the case. I also think with all the double support it leaves comps more open to getting abused by the split push shenanigans!
