Petition for HGC Team Profiles on Official Website

HGC has been great so far this year and the new website is refreshing, but there’s a huge missing piece… Team and Player Profiles!! Us long-time fans may be able to keep up with the numerous iterations of Tempo Storm, or James Baker’s ubiquity, but the newcomer has few ways to truly become a fan of the teams if they can’t even read about them. Let's add a "Teams" tab to the navigation bar.

When I click on a team, I want to know the following:

  • Current roster, coach, etc.
  • Quick summary, what they’re known for
  • Win/loss record, tournament wins, team statistics
  • History and previous iterations of this team name/roster line-up
  • Video: Gameplay highlights and team interviews
  • Is this team part of an eSports org, or an independent team?
  • Rivalries

When I click on a player, I want to know the following:

  • Current team and role
  • Player biography, personal statement
  • Statistics and achievements
  • Previous games and teams
  • Stream/social media links
  • Video: gameplay highlights and interview

Blizzard, you’ve done a fantastic job with HGC providing player salaries, a new format, great events, quality casting and production, and a greatly improved eSports website. We just need a place for viewers to truly become fans!

I know that there were a lot of things you wanted to add to the new website when it released a few months ago, and I’m sure this was on the list. Let’s make it happen soon (no TM pls). :P

Post if you have other suggestions for profiles, and I'll add them to the lists. Thanks!

They're coming and it's high priority.

That said, we always love to hear feedback and ideas for this stuff! (Though keep in mind that even if an idea is awesome it might not make it into the first iteration.)
