Right. Sorry, the names of all the major tournaments always tripped me up. Outside of BlizzCon, none of them felt like they flowed smoothly. Thankfully the naming scheme for HGC is a lot better.

That was one of the goals for this year, glad it makes more sense this go around!

I mean Tempest was without a sponsor when they won ~~BlizzCon~~ the Summer championship, and their sponsor dropped them in favor of an NA team when the terms came out to show that an organization can only have one team in HGC at a time.

Heroes is doing better, popularity-wise, in the West than it is in Asia, and sponsoring a team is a form of advertisement. Now that L5 is getting money from Blizz, particularly if they're confident they'll win money in tournaments as well as regular salary from HGC, then I can see L5 being a bit more "picky" about a sponsorship, wanting better terms or pay or something.

Then you just come to an impasse. It could be that L5 values themselves more than any sponsor is willing to accommodate for, based on the size of the e-Sport. Though this is really just speculation. It could very well be that no one has shown interest in picking them up.

Tempest didn't win BlizzCon, they won the Summer Championship.

damn, what a day of HOTS, and its just the beginning. hopefully i can find time to eat. starts with korea, than EU and NA clownfiesta at the end. wow what a transition.
