Why aren't people complaining more about the fact that there's still no authenticator in a game this large?

I see people complain about loads of things, but for some reason I barely see anyone complain about this, my smurf was compromised not too long ago and someone scripted on it and got it banned, and I was never able to get it unbanned.

If this happened on my main, which I have well over 800$ spent on I would probably be devastated, and honestly I feel like adding an authenticator isn't the most difficult/expensive thing they can do, and even if it is, it should be mandatory for League by now.

    Same thing happened for me (but with college email address I no longer have). Except that I did verify it (oops). I can't remember enough about my account to verify that I own it lol (I can't remember shit from 7 years ago) so I can't change the email even though I play on the account daily, what do?

    i can't be the only person in this position - i created my account 9 years ago and i no longer have access to the hotmail address i signed up with. i get messages in league client saying i should verify that my email address is [the old one at hotmail.com]. will i be fucked if an authenticator system comes into place and i have to verify my email?

    I don't know the exact solution, but go to the website and see if it lets you change your email. I dont think it'll require your old one if you haven't verified it.

    If that fails, try player support.

    Riot is aligned on this, I just chatted w/ some folks, and it's actively being worked on. Don't have a release date, but it'll happen :)
