Official English Language Coverage of the LPL Available now!

As outlined in this article I'm pleased to announce that Pastrytime and I will be covering the Tencent League of Legends Pro League for Riot. We have been working to secure this content ever since we heard rumors of a weekly League of Legends league for China back in January of this year.

While it probably sounds unlikely, we have negotiated weekly with multiple parties since January to try and secure this content and it is only now, when the VODS for week three are up on the LOLChampSeries Youtube channel here that I am able to thank Riot for stepping in and helping us get english language coverage of this great league to the fans who have at every stage of 2013 made it clear that they want the LPL to be as accessible as the other big leagues in League of Legends.

To clarify for anyone wondering VOD coverage of the LPL is at present the only viable way to cover the tournament due to a myriad of reasons (mostly technical). We will be working to ensure the turnaround time for the VODS will be as short as possible and Riot have created Lolesports.com/lpl as a portal for the coverage - I believe that site will be up shortly.

I just want to thank everyone in the community who reached out to us and those who have made it clear on places like Reddit that you wanted English broadcasts of the Tencent LPL. It is only today I can finally say that this coverage is really happening and that Pastrytime and I will endeavour to do everything in our power to ensure our coverage of the LPL does the amazing content justice.
